As title, Any1 working in Sony, Bandar Baru Bangi?
How's the working culture in this company?

i'm working there.
imo, great way to earn experience if u are a fresh grad.
but that depends on the job u do because there are more than 7k ppl working there (including operators of course).
relaxed rules compared to other japanese company but they still a japanese comp.
get to know a lot of frens btw.

ic.... As i'm going to have an interview on this Thurs for the post of System Analyst(IT).Hmm wat dept r u working? MInd tell me more about working in Sony?

I heard that their technical interview is tough and not easy to go through. 2 of my friends failed the face-to-face interview.

Most of the time they only test u on general IQ test.
the rest depends on your interview with the dept.
IT dept basically mantain the IT infrastructure, emails, servers etc i think.
Here, sony manufacture TV and DVD players.

SOny interview ok lah...if not mistaken (mayb i 4get liao) u hv to gone thru 3 test, something like IQ, Language and watever, 3 papers.....

Then u'll be required to hv a face-face interview, thats when u try to expressed urself lah...Actually, its not tat difficult lah, just stay calm.
Sony benefit good ah, meal subsidiary, car loan, house loan, bonus good(depends on sales), got OT (for production side), buy SONY products got discount(although not much), can make frens.......
U think think lah.

I received call from sony already and they offer me. Anybody can tell me more about the culture and feedback of working in Sony, Bangi? Now i'm still consider on this offer

Thanks! System analyst. In fact, i'm not very prefer the job scope of this post. I came for Agilent interview for the software engineer few days last week but unfortunitely not selected. come 4 only 1 hour interview. The time was limited, not enough time for me to talk to the interviewers. Too bad. Hope to try again.

agilent is in png, whereas Sony is in Bangi leh.....of course agilent is better as the salary is higher, and both jobs u appllied for are different thing, so cant really compare. But anyway, Sony can be a good start for u, enjoy....

Sony pays ~2.5k for fresh grad. Wat they mean follow japanese culture is tat, u need to be hardworking, be punture, obey ur superior.........but now not tat important liao. Just join lah, dun hestitate.......

For fresh graduate, the starting salary should be the same.

haha really a lot of benefits arr? well i was from there until last 2 months. over all the benefits is just ok...

benefits
1) car loan-> rm150 max
2) house loan-> rm 200 i think. but i think they have abolish it already. only old member get to enjoy. new member..sorry ler
3) 10% discout on sony product. but i think they will also abolish it end of the year
4) OT..yeah.....rm10 per hour. it also depends which department you are in. if you are in Production then it will be tough to claim OT. but if you are in Design, well lucky you.. just stay in office and warm the chair.

over all, if you are in design(R&D) i think the prospect is good. you really get to learn.

i think comparatively, sony bangi is quite good for japanese company..

if you masuk DVD design. let me know...i will issue warning to my ex colleague there...hahaha
