I currently playing online mmorpg, suffering very bad fps when raid. Its only 8fps worst time.

1. How do you know if the game uses more CPU or GPU?
2. My plan to upgrade due to budget constraint only got 1.2k first.

Option A,
Upgrade my old 2GB 6950 (Reference card) to 970 or R290x. I gaming with 1080p only. Only play online mmo.

Option B,
Upgrade processor from I5-2400 to I5-4690 + RM300 Mobo.

Which option of upgrade will help to increase FPS for my gaming. Planning to slowly upgrade.

My old friend offered me Asrock Killer 990 + FX8350 for about RM900. This was like 2 month back and the combo was about 6 month old then.

I get stuttering when playing dying light on textures high Micro-stuttering. Could it be the RAM problem? Checked the memory usage of my ram goes up to 3.8gb alone on Dying Light sometimes. GTX 970 as well.

Current Rig below getting old and start giving issues, was thinking of upgrade, with budget about 1k-1.5k, can i get a new gaming rig or shld i just upgrade from the existing?

Mobo : MSI C45-770
Ram : 2GB x 2 (forgot the brand)
VGA: HIS ATI HD 5770
Hardisk: 1TB for OS + 2ndary 2TB for media storage
OS : Win7 pro 32bit

lol, i never knew that, few yrs back this was intro to me when i buy the rig system from an forumer here (cant recall who). but so far it seems to be working fine, manage to play crysis 3 under mid/high settings with AA off ....

Not sure, but as i remember this was actually during the AMD 5XXX era, and i did notice a lot of failure during this time, but never from any particular brand.
