QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Mar 13 2015, 06:50 PM) Yup it's totally fine to use cheaper B85 mobo, but you might need to update the BIOS before you can run the xeon, but most of the new mobo have the BIOS updated now since this CPU is released last year. True! Great! I was thinking of getting the casing like Bitfenix Prodigy M. Will the CM Hyper 212x can fit on it?PSU with 520W is more than enough to run the xeon and GTX970. I am not aware that you need a casing so here is some refinements. Asrock B85M-HDS motherboard - RM249 Seasonic M12 II Evo 520W power supply - RM279 So you left around RM215 for casing. |

QUOTE(Minecrafter @ Mar 13 2015, 07:24 PM) If i were you,i'd grab the Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 RM899.Beats the i5 4690k. Yes sir! luckily i was saved by my friend's gtx 970 he got sli and he give me the other one.. i tried to check also the normal prodigy.. i choose this casing coz im always on the go.. i transfer houses every 3 months so this could help me.. Your budget first for the whole rig? I think it can,max CPU clearance for the Prodigy M is 160mm.You want to go with small case? My budget was roughly 2k. I prefer the xeon read alot recommendations about it.. |
