What do you think of:
CPU: Intel Core I7 4790K
MOBO: Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5

The performance will also relatively be upgraded right?

Or probably I could look at a combination without the over locking feature?

In case we were to upgrade the GPU in the coming 1 year or so...

Source?  Please do not use the MLC vs TLC debacle since they are pretty much irrelevant to the average user unless the user intends to do lots of writes on the drive (for example heavy use of virtualization and large video/photo editing)...

Even the 840 EVO (which uses TLC NAND) can withstand 500TB worth of writes.

FYI, 500TB of writes translate to writing 140GB of data continuously over 10 years.

He would have directed the torrent to the HDD, not the SSD.

Oh, I forgot to mention that 500TB of writes actually mean writing 140GB worth of data everyday, over the 10 year lifespan.  I don't think he will reach that much of usage...  Even so, 10 years of lifespan is incredibly long for a SSD.

I would like to seek advice on building a rig with a budget of about RM3000. I intend to use it for some browsing, gaming and paperwork.

Besides that, what is your take on the Nvidia GTX970 issue? Will it cause the price to go down a bit? Can Nvidia really fix the problem? I wanted to try on some 4K graphic (for fun) but I don't exactly like the R290 energy consumption and heat production tho.

Hi guys, appreciate suggestion for an RM2500-3000 (just for CPU) rig mainly for gaming and will not be obsolete in 2-3 years. I have a HP2311GT monitor. Not sure if the monitor will somewhat "suppress" the experience (display wise) I should get from the system. If yes, please suggest a monitor as well.

Since the Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming is cheaper in Amazon after USD to MYR conversion I thought I might just buy from Amazon instead. The only question I have is how the import fee/duty would be charged for it. Has anyone here ever ordered any computer parts from Amazon or eBay?

This baby gets hot really fast during gaming and even cause my speaker to get buzzing/eering sound at long game play. I think its because of the SFF build.
Should i sell everything and buy a new one  , or just salvage some parts and upgrade and sell off the rest  .
What do you guys think??
