QUOTE(si perfeck! @ Oct 24 2022, 12:01 PM) Hi. Applied hsbc cc through ringgitplus. Received the approved sms and stated there “expect delivery within 8 working days.” hsbc staff said first time must collcet from the branch. The credit card will be deliver to me (home) or hsbc branch that i ticked during online application? One day after i applied, the hsbc cs called me and asked which branch should i pick up the card if it is approved. On the day my card approved, the same cs called and asked me if my home address is correct. So now i dunno how i will receive the card. Tqqq |

QUOTE(Wolgie @ Feb 24 2025, 05:53 PM) Annual Fee for Travel One not minimum use 20k per year? yup. it is travel one.Today got HSBC come to our office for HSBC card. He said Travel One can waive if hit this requirement. For Other card, is 2k per year only. Just apply HSBC Visa rewards card. now got cashback 400 after 1 use. As i check ringgitplus give 600 gurantee. (as last time apply before but not approve) but as support them. just apply form them. get the card then after 6m, cancel https://www.hsbc.com.my/credit-cards/produc...visa-signature/ this card he said no maxs rewards point per month, even reload ewallet? confirm? x5point Thanks Thanks i couldnt use this hsbc travel one up till 20k per year.. not even 2k.. they do not have much nice offer like other card. alliance can have 8x timeless point, rhb X pickatrip. even maybank 2 cards also have 5% cashback. the best in hsbc i would say is masuk lounge 5 times or 6 times. without spending. hahah .. |

I was charged the annual fee for my HSBC TravelOne card. I called customer service on February 25 to request a waiver. The agent informed me that I didn’t meet the waiver criteria but offered to submit a request on my behalf, with the condition that I pay the SST first.
I expressed my concern and told them I wouldn’t pay the SST unless the fee was waived first, as I couldn’t trust that the waiver would be approved afterward. Since then, I received no updates from HSBC. Today, I called again and was told that the waiver request had been rejected. The agent offered an alternative: pay RM450 for both the primary and supplementary cards, and in return, HSBC would credit me 80,000 reward points. I responded that this offer is essentially purchasing points, which I do not agree with. She then told me the card cannot be cancelled unless all outstanding fees are paid. I said that if HSBC insists on this, I will consider reporting the matter to Bank Negara Malaysia. Only then did she say she would "help check" if cancellation is possible. anyone has any experience on this? |

QUOTE(Barricade @ May 21 2025, 06:01 PM) Nope. I ask to cancel, they cancel on the spot even AF is charged, and I didn't spend a cent after AF charged. But I'm HSBC Premier customer and my salary is credited to HSBC bank - not sure if that makes any difference. about 2-3 times the customer service just now used the criteria thing to talk to me. then i said i will go to bank negara if insist. aalso after i had mentioned bank negara name for 2-3 rounds. she finally said hold on the line, she will call cancellation team and asked for further. after 1-2 minutes, she told me cancellation is successful. but bcoz it had finance charges (due to no payment), they will first reverse them out, only will proceed for cancellation.. like what u mentioned, didnt spend a cent. really just need to push hard until she tak boleh tahan.. just i faced more round or "try to request me to pay money" session hsbc really the hardest bank to deal with when come to fee waiver.. luckily now consider clear. |

QUOTE(Barricade @ May 21 2025, 06:21 PM) Better cancel earlier next time before AF charged. Usually I milk ringgitplus promotion, once I received the reward I will cancel immediately. Just now the same person called me again, told me to pay SST only then can proceed with the cancellation. Which means they U turn the call yesterday, as yesterday the final confirmation i had with her, is i no longer will receive any bank statement from them for these travel one card. I very angry as they can u turn like this and put trouble to me. I even told her better look for other job as ur bank can suddenly change their promises and push u employee to go deal with customers without reaonsable. I in the end i just said i will go report bank negara. Coz she keeps talking the same thing. Accoridng this policy la, bank protocol la, NO this No that, as she had come prepared before the call. Any advice for me? Can really report to bank negara? |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 22 2025, 12:22 PM) HSBC is the most crap bank I have experienced so far. They forced me to pay for the AF and SST when I didn't spend a single cent after those transactions were charged. Long battle with them and nearly got BNM to interfere, luckily they waived everything and including the late charges. I did have "1" in my CCRIS to be honest but I had cancelled all HSBC cards so no more in record. I also do not have any spending after the first AF charged to me, now only accumulate sst and af and finance charge. Yetserday said already cancel all. Today said must pay sst only proceed with cancellation. Then i said since u want me to pay sst , sst is for one year, i continue to use the card loh. She said NO, pay sst is the condition to cancel the card with AF and finance charge waiver. I will do as per adviced above first, wish me luck no need to go to BNM |

Really make my day bad To date, I have not spent a single cent using this card. The annual fee and SST charges were entirely unprovoked, and I have made every effort to resolve this amicably. I am extremely disappointed with the handling of this case, the misleading information provided, and the lack of follow-through. I am therefore requesting the following: 1. A full waiver and reversal of the annual fee and SST. 2. Confirmation that the TravelOne card account is cancelled with no further charges or statements to be issued. 3. A formal apology for the misleading and inconsistent communication from your customer service team. does no.3 is needed? lolz |
