Hi guys,

I have applied HSBC visa platinum two months ago, and finally got it this week.

That time just trying to apply for cash back promotion + always go to Mid Valley, now I only realize annual fees for both principle card & supp card quite mahal lah......

Now dono still wan to use this card or not as I have three others cc ald, and the rewards points not so attractive.

Anyone can tell me that if I don activate the card, will it still charge me for annual fees?

If I call to activate, they will charge me the annual fees now, and after usage 12 times a yr can be waived?

Thanks a lot.

i received the card end of November 2015, till today still thinking to cancel it. signed up earlier as the guy told me for buying online movie ticket with 1 ticket free. Eventually, until today, never thought of buying online. lol ~ rebate wise, not that useful, as i spent less than RM 2k for both petrol and grocery monthly. lol ~

Hi sifus,

for annual fees , if 12 swipes on supplementary card, the principal card holder can enjoy the same annual fee waiver?

Anyone can enlighten me? couldn't find it cry.gif

I would like to know,
Hsbc visa platinum / amanah mpower platinum card annual fees are automatically waived with 12 swipes,
It has to be 1 swipe per month or total 12 swipes in a year can?

From their website (pg 38)
https://www.hsbc.com.my/1/PA_ES_Content_Mgm...iff_charges.pdf

It shows that ‘one swipe per month’.

And I just received mpower platinum card,
Wanna double confirm first year annual fees will be waived?

Thank you very much

Just asked the staff on the phone for my card application just now..there 2 scenario...

Scenario 1
At least 1 swipe a month consecutively for 12 months you're entitled for auto annual fee waiver.

Scenario 2
Did not swipe once every month. However, accumulated at least 12 swipe over 12 months. You have to call HSBC to waive the annual fee.

the 12 swipes must be performed by principle card holder?
or supplementary card holder confused.gif

Thank you
