did u missed 1 transaction per month & 2k annual spend? If u did not missed and used more than 2k, then no reason for them to decline waive annual fees.

for those using applepay or googlepay for hsbc cc. You will only get 1x point. even you are suppose to get 8x - oversea, 5x online spend or 5x shopping.
Please take note. In another word, applepay/ googlepay is useless as only get 1x.
i just had an arguement with cs . Even i spend on retail shopping, suppose to get 5x but due to i make a mistake by paying using applepay.

well i already got statement and end of billing cycle. I 've spend 1k on retail shop and pay using applepay. Statement showed only 1k point but no bonus point.

MMC code is verified it is retail and entitled for 5x but due to payment used. (refer my above screenshot).

that's what the end result told by cs. They advise me dont use apple pay as dont count as 5x shopping or 5x online shopping. It count as 1x as other.
final conclusion is coz i use applepay. lesson learned - must use physical card on retail shop. Use latest technology but get low benefit.

I was surprise. Today suddenly i've decided to check my point on statement received. Not many transactions that why easy to calculate

dont believe bank promo. use ringgitplus is better.
i hit same problem on ambank, rhb and sc. After few month, still did not get the gift.

Not really, some cc is based on card annual, I got few card like that

the weird part about hsbc is i notice that online transaction no TAC or verification , just went thru without 2nd level. Tested on temu, lazada, shopee and even apple website.
If i dont use the card, i will block it due to lack of security

yes correct. You cannot cancel the card if got outstanding. Nowaday all bank smart and dont want to waive annual fees. So better terminate card if u dont meet the requirement or expect got waive annual fees

foreign bank conversion is always higher based on my usage. Local bank rate is cheaper. Therefore, for personal use- prefer local bank, foreign bank use for company usage
