Abit confused with that Annual Fee amount stated RM254.40. waived subject to 12 swipes.

How about first year Annual fee, i mean for new applicant?
Annual fee wiil be charged and then after 12 swipes get credited back?
*
Usually Fee waiver for 1st Year I mean NEW Applicant, 2017 AF will be waived with min. 12 x Swipes from year (2016) so & so for the Subsequent Years

I Never paid a single cent of Annual Fees since 2011 having HSBC CC brows.gif

Applied HSBC 2 weeks ago.

No one called to verify anything, although in the past experience, bank will call just to make sure the contact number is valid.

I called to check on the status via their IVR, it says 'No record found'.
An hour later, received an email saying my card has been approved and will be delivered in 10 days.

Huh?? Just how reliable is their IVR, judge it yourself.

Received approval email too on same date.

Receive called from bank just now, card is ready to be collected. Took 2 days to be delivery

Received my new card today.

While calling up to activate the card, i took the opportunity to ask about Balance Transfer. The CS was kind and polite enough to explain it to me.

So, it's confirmed that, when you perform BT,
- Any retail transaction done will incur 18% per annum interest 'IMMEDIATELY'! So, wise thing to do is to keep the card in the drawer until you fully settled the outstanding.
- The whole outstanding amount will appear on the card
- If you opt for 0% interest for X month, you can choose to pay the minimum 5% of your outstanding amount for month 1, until X-1. At month X, you must pay off the total outstanding, or 18% interest will be imposed on the outstanding amount.

For the last bit, it's good and bad in a way. If you are disciplined enough, you can try out the 5% repayment + final full settlement. Otherwise, please set a repayment schedule for yourself.

Good thing is, at month X, you can do another BT to pay off HSBC to continue the repayment on another financial institution. But please please please be diligent or else you will end up in the trap you set for your own.

Ypu are doing early settlement? I didn't ask about that,, but the did tell me it's reducing balance. Make sure there is no penalty for early settlement. Share with us when you found out.

According to the T&C below, results for the whole campaign should already be out.

14. The primary Eligible Cardholder and all his/her supplementary cardholders are entitled to receive a maximum of only ONE (1) unit of RM80 Cash Back per month from 15th November 2015 to 31st December 2015. However, the primary Eligible Cardholder and all his/her supplementary cardholders are entitled to receive a maximum of THREE (3) units of RM80 Cash Back per Participating Month from 1st January 2016 to 29 th February 2016,which will only be credited to the primary Eligible Cardholder’s highest type of Participating HSBC Bank/HSBC Amanah Credit Card/-i account within four (4) weeks after the Promotion Period and will be reflected in the following month’s statement.

Did 4 transactions with >rm800 on 7/12/15, 1/1/16, 1/2/16 & 3/2/16. HSBC has allocated 1610 units of rm80 for Dec2015, and 3845 for Jan2016 n Feb2016. Hope I can get at least 3.
