As far as i know.. nobody can transfer any fund directly to the FD acc..

From Hybrid to FD, this implied it is not fresh fund.

how to fresh fund then?

I would be going for the CIMB Islamic 3 mths fd since it is a straightforward one... They offered 3.8% during april..

ya thats the typical approach..you register, get a sms, go to the bank and show them the sms
but at times the bank staffs themselves might not be aware..so you must make sure they somehow tag or put whatever remarks on your application cos at the end of day ringgitplus relies on info given by bank to determine if you get anything

i received an email last month saying that i am getting it and then waited for few weeks before it reached

for alliance bank, it says that the promo must be placed under:

eatd-i... e alliance term deposit-i

however, there is a efd promo tab on the left as well.. confusing.. anyone successfully placed at promo rate?

FD from mbb withdraw and put in mbb 9months promo not consider fresh funds ohh ?

withdraw from atm, then you take it to counter

just placed with alliance eFD... got the 4.1% promo rate... created new account today at branch, IBG over, once receive my funds, i clicked on the e-fd promo on the left tab, and viola...

oh like that also can.....

Alright.. for my alliance dispute case.. got resolve.. apparently.. can say my problem la..

Because there are 2 option to place FD.

1 is the normal FD placement.. while there is a new button "promo e FD" which refer to the 4.1%...

I got 3.3% because i place it using the normal button..
Now i go n click the promo button.. i got the 4.1% already

Just back from OCBC Bank
They offer 1st 6 mths @ 4.0% pa n 2nd 6 mths @ 4.4% pa
Effective rate is 4.2% pa -v- normal board rate of 3.25% pa for 12 mths

I think another forummer mentioned that the interest from the 1st 6 months will be added into the principal so the final rate is slightly higher than 4.2% for 12 months.
