I've just signed up for SCB 4.5% 15M FD. However, they told me that interest will only be credit upon maturity ie at the end of 15th month. Two branches said the same thing.
Also, apparently the requirement is to open a Justone savings account but I was having a basic savings account. Approval is needed for me to proceed with only a basic savings account.

How about you guys?

The FD cert indicate 6 mthly. The PB centre leng lui further confirmed interest is every 6 mth.

Yes, you can open a JustOne acct which is a combination of SA and CA. But no need a single cent there. biggrin.gif

I am having a BSA and no approval was needed to tie it up with the FD promo. No mention of Justone account as requirement at all.

I alerted you earlier that payment by a cheque to EPF will take 7 working days to clear, & 24/2 to 5/3 is 7 working days.
we've also established that payment by cash (but max. of RM10K, OTC @ EPF) or thru m2u only takes 1 working day to clear.

I just started to work on my own.  How to do own contribution via bank counter?  Do I need to deal with bank 1st or kwsp?

(Step 1) Print out and fill up KWSP 6A (1) - Caruman Sendiri from this link:
http://www.kwsp.gov.my/portal/ms/web/kwsp/...er/all-epf-form

(Step 2) Go to one of the banks and fill up one more KWSP form provided from bank:
(1) Public Bank
(2) May Bank
(3) RHB Bank
(4) CIMB Bank

(Step 3) To maximize your profit, make sure your cash/check deposit to your EPF account
can be cleared before the month end.

Either to deal with bank or KWSP is also can.
But deal with bank is better in order to get your payment cleared faster.

Max contribution is RM 60k per year
Min is RM 50 per deposit.
Deposit must be even number, cannot deposit like RM 50.50

Can use KWSP 6A (1) to make self contribution until 75 years old.

Ah Goat Sir,

After you registered with Ringgit Plus and after placed your FD, then you'd better to
email the attachment file of your FD cert to Ringgit Plus to make sure Ringgit Plus
will not miss your participation of the gift campaign.

No, the SMS register that I have done is for the Ang Pow Contest. Not the RinggitPlus's one. cry.gif

So only entitle for the contest but not the luggage bag.

Unless I made another placement in OCBC. cry.gif

No doubt to see OCBC leng lui is one kind of enjoyment..

Today I notice Tesco catalog is selling 20" Trolley Bag for RM 59.90
Attached Image

Hopefully the 20" Trolley Bag from Ringgit Plus is better than Tesco.. hmm.gif

I posted Maybank's Ang Pow at my Facebook Page[/url] back in 14 January 2015  tongue.gif

However, I only collected Maybank Premier Wealth Banking Ang Pow on 9th Febraury 2015.

As for RHB, I got them early last week after I returned from Melbourne.
*
As far as I know, most customers with PB status do not need to make reservation to get ang pow from their respective banks.

The RM will make the arrangement & customers just go & collect the ang pow.

Did you contact your RM before you pay them a visit or just drop by & collect your ang pow?

Can please provide more info on this ?
How's the mechanism like?

Need to stand-by some funds for payments of bills.
Money could be lying idle from less than a month to 3 months.
Problem is don;t know exact date of billing, so can't plan properly.

Now using CIMB money multiplier account that gives me 2.5% p.a. on daily rest.
Wonder if there's anything better than this.

Feedback/info much appreciated !
