Last week in Comic Fiesta 2014, a long que for expreiencing NVIDIA VR Direct on the Oculus Rift. NVIDIA suggests that VR Direct will reduce latency "on average" by 10 milliseconds - 10ms from the OS and 4ms from the GPU, also on average. That means that when you turn your head to the right, there’ll be little to no noticeable lag with the image you’re seeing on your VR headset’s screen. It’ll seem entirely real.
Anyone there to try?
VR Direct and Shadow play is current available on NVIDIA’s latest Maxwell graphics card – the GTX980 and GTX970, which offers next generation graphics with improved performance and power efficiency.
