Hi guys! Super new into this hobby. Never had the interest or chance to get into this cos when it boomed in Malaysia back then, I was already in college (yes I'm an old fart). Recently got racuned by a younger friend of mine and I picked up a Sonic Saber Premium yesterday. Fixed it up and tried it out on a track today (South City Plaza, Seri Kembangan). Was super pleasantly surprised when the car went ard the track quite decently and later flipped. I kinda know why and I'm slowly feeling my way around all the necessary things that I need to know. Been reading some of what y'all have shared so far and am continuing to learn more. Pls keep sharing and thanks for all the info y'all have shared so far

QUOTE(iOnine @ Jan 21 2015, 10:28 AM) hehe. hopefully ur interest in the hobby stays lama la. I hope so too. Very fascinated by the process of changing a stock car into something awesome. Bought my first upgrade yesterday in the form of bearings for my wheels. Very nice. Now will focus on upgrading the insides slowly. I'm a bit confused about what to get eg: What kind of bearing do i put into my counter gear? a 620? a normal bearing? of what size? Hopefully I can kumpul all the questions and ask you fellers instead of shooting one by one la. Seems like my car is headed towards some kind of speed setup. We'll wait and see how it goes la LOL. |

Experienced my first bent screw today (front roller). Is it possible to replace the screw with something else? I've seen people cutting shafts in half and using that and some stranger I met in a shop today suggested using motor shafts to replace screws. (I seriously doubt this would be legal in a Tamiya race)
Any advise from the sifus? Thanks in advance. |
