QUOTE(Gizmo135 @ Feb 19 2015, 03:17 PM) I dun really into clear cowl mods & paintings..i rather collecting any clear colored cowls (see-thru) & also plated parts..technically, i'm a all-round collector. Waiting for my combo panda (kuma, racer & shiro) + strato vectors wit 13mm bearings + avante jr 20th korea anniversary + neofalcon red special. Later on i will be heading to KL for some COD bussiness. My friend wanna get his hands on my 2 lil emperor imperial forces As a racer, I just can never understand what it's like to be a collector. Haha.To me (us racers as a whole), everything Tamiya produced is meant to be used. Like, what's the point of getting something from Tamiya and leave it in the box, untouched That kit/item is better off in the hands of a racer or a cosmetic builder rather than being a collector's item, making it a tool of monetary manipulation I am sorry, but that's just my point of view. |

QUOTE(Gizmo135 @ Feb 19 2015, 05:54 PM) well, dats truly right..imho, everyone got their own right & perspective when comes to mini 4wd..some kits like enomoto & italia sure got potential bt using them for racing would be such a pain in the ass considering the sentimental value (collector) of ultra rare kits & also the price (selling at 500+ bucks each)..better use normal kits for race wit cosmetic building of the entire things (parts, cowl etc)..going to be hybrid later on to gather some experiences & meet friends with same passion. And I'm just a hybrid of racer - cosmetic builder. Blaming it on influences like Team BIG etc. but once something breaks, GGWP My clear blue Rising Trigger Cowl (customised to fit S2) broke in to 2 halves in my last fun race. That was one of my first cowl 13 years ago. Rising Trigger Clear Blue w/ fluorescent orange SX chassis. |

I got Stargek contacts bringing in Korea Avante.
Stargek will receive 25 cartons from Korea. That 25 cartons will be distributed among 4 countries in South East Asia. That's all the info I can give for now This post has been edited by AF21: Feb 20 2015, 01:00 PM |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Feb 20 2015, 07:21 PM) Most of the time speed setup uses AO 830 because of Lightweight, idk. Never weigh rollers.- lightweight factor - smoothness (compared to large size roller with 520 bearings, or 9~13mm roller bearings) Tamiya's AO 830 bearing is the best choice due to easy maintenance and doesn't rust. Second point is true all the way. I'm not falling for the 19mm conspiracy wakakakaa |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Feb 20 2015, 08:51 PM) Minimal angle, just enough that the car won't fly at corners. Speed w/ LC is dead (I think). If you play atomic tuned, people will blame we kopek engine. So what's the point Sometimes you could do with zero (or near zero) angle, depending on the layout But for speed with LC, you'll definitely need some angle to help counter the LC |

QUOTE(blaze_spirit @ Feb 20 2015, 10:06 PM) Sprint Dash can't cross bridge LC bro. Your speed car will treat that bridge LC like a slope and fly like Buzz Lightyear deii » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by AF21: Feb 20 2015, 10:47 PM |

QUOTE(Gizmo135 @ Feb 20 2015, 09:51 PM) using Atomic Tuned engine in speed events? where thou? dats sound awesome dude..usually people use Sprint Dash..btw i think i'll open sale by end of this month..gonna have some must-have kits (collectors cant resist them) & normal kits..i think only for Malaysia buyers since i dunno how to appropriately handle international buyers (postage+cash transfer)..stay tuned Was made popular in Kanto. Then practiced it at Tamiya Underground. Then people start la saying engine kopek and what not. Malas nak layan and the format was not played anymoreI think if you go on YouTube you can find Edward Heng's old channel. You can see his speed car utilises double rollers. That's a high probability he's playing High Speed w/ LC or High Speed atomic tuned |

Previously, I shared my VS Hanging Jaw setup. For damping system, I was using a burger on each side. It was inconsistent. Sometimes it sticks, sometimes it doesnt.
So I swapped the burger out and inserted this combo of 1:1 bowl-cylinder combo and holy cow it jumped higher and further. I think, in this case, momentum is behind it |

QUOTE(iOnine @ Feb 23 2015, 11:57 AM) secret for hanging jaw is: Thanks bro. Will adjust the locknut. Btw, Block or any dampers will do for rear?the mid damper always use cylinder + bowl let it play around. just put locknut at the top of the screw sahaja. no need to adjust the rear is vary. depending on your track. that, you gotta play around the height of damper. |

QUOTE(iOnine @ Feb 23 2015, 12:12 PM) semi speed (not longjump) I'm using full cowl HG Carbon as front bumper. Not sure the strategy for front damper placement. preferbly start with cylinder dampers. then up to burger. if need heavier, go with cylinder + syling damper. (your rear is single middle or double pole dampers - both edge?) as for me, i never use block unless its long jump longjump aku semua depan and tengah. rear mmg no dampers at all As for rear, I'll try and upload it by tonight |
