It does seem like streamyx has capped BT speeds. But since they denied it, no one knows for sure.

I might try out secure tunnel in a month or two if the speed still remains like this. Then I have to fork out like another rm40 to get back my speed.

This is tempting. I'm definetly gonna register secure tunnel too once I move into my new house and get a new connection late this month.

It hurts that I have to register yet another new streamyx account after all the trouble they've given me. But they seem to be the only isp available in my area. And I need to use the internet.

So its confirmed that we can only use the gold package? But I thought it was mentioned that the only difference between the gold and premium one is this newsgroup thingie or whatever which the gold package offers. Hmmmm...

Guys..about he proxies. After I've keyed in the proxy, type and port, do I need to do port forwarding for the port I've selected? Having proxy errors like others.
Doesn't seem to be helping much. Still trying.

I'm considering signing up for Relakss in the next few days.

Speed doesn't seem too bad. I'm using 512kb package. Thanks for those who helped out. rclxms.gif
So I heard its advised to change proxies once in a while when you notice the speed seem to be always slow?

I think most of us are running out of proxies. The last three that I used were good and I was able to get full speed. Now none seems to work anymore.

Proxies doesn't seem to be working for me anymore. So I might consider trying out Relakks since I heard it seems to be working again.

Never thought life would be that hard without p2p....
I wonder how long will it take for us to be saved from our misery. Or will it be like this from now on? Thats just scary.

free sock proxy is not reliable. if today can, the next hour cant already. if what the other thread said, they use hardware up to 7 layer to sense our packet, it is doom. if i not mistaken, this hardware only set normal priority to http/ftp packet and other common protocol. other protocol it will set to low priority. that is why even you encrypted your BT  trafic also cant bypass. it is different from VPN encryption cause VPN still use HTTP. correct me if i'm wrong.  smile.gif

I've been using those free proxies since september and I'm able to get full speed all the time. But of course you need to change the proxies once in a while. You can use some of them for weeks without changing and once I do change I usually don't have problems finding one that works. So yeah..works for me but not everyone.
