that does not limit your speed, only the number of simultaneous incomplete outbound TCP connection attempts.

Tmnuts are very good in blocking our way.

Welcome to Malaysia. ^^ Next election, I think I'm going to vote for the next political party that promises that they'll open up our telecommunication line to foreigners.

This is really fked up.
I'm now serious with this.
Let's quit Streamyx together.
I believe they will do something when 20-30% of the streamyx user quit.

haha let's quit.. better let the "pirates" earn our hard earn money instead of let tmnut earn.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, that is not the main objective.
Actually I just want to give tmnuts a lesson..
To tell them, we, the user, aren't stupid, and we are able to fight for our rights.
That's all.

QUOTE(rakuen @ Oct 18 2006, 08:55 PM)
Off topic a bit, but dude, don't misunderstand.. the problem with piracy in Malaysia isn't with us trying to download a few American TV shows everyday. It comes from pirates profitting from piracy (your friendly neighbourhood VCD Seller, and MP3 cd seller), these guys are hurting the revenue of the MPAA and the RIAA directly.

So IMHO, throttling our bandwidth with something like the NetEnforcer is just a cheapass way for TMnet to make the best out of their current available bandwidth... instead of doing the proper thing, which would be upgrading.

Oh well, what to do.. when you live in a country where the only readily available broadband is monopolised by a government owned corporate giant.

Let's just hope that either something like wi-max or some other alternatives come soon.

Or for me, I just relakks... while I give TMnet the universal 1 finger salute.

(that's until something else goes wrong la... haha)
*
Agreed.
Well, nowaday relakks is hard to connect sia..
Every time connected, can't even last longer than 5 min, then kaput.

It actually depends on ur torrent file, the max speed I got was 30Kbps on a 1Mbps line..dry.gif If this continues, I would have no other choice but to go all "V For Vendetta" on TMNet ph34r.gif and hold everyone in their HQ hostage bruce.gif You know the scene in Vendetta...release our line, or else flex.gif
*
I just watched that movie recently.
Damn cool.
But anyway, that's just not gonna happen.
If so, Msia already full of people with "V" 's costume. laugh.gif

It is a Japanese user. Heck I seen one Japanese peer downloading at 2.5+MB/s before >_<

--------------------------------------------

Yes TM was tinkering my line/account as well... my DSL light went off and on 3 times in succession when I was playing online game, making me disconnected at the end of it >_<. Blerdy hell, lucky my Blue Server account was not banned because of that.
*
Yeah...
Anyway, I wonder when will we see this kind of speed in Msia..
Maybe not in our generation..maybe in next few decade..?
Msia boleh..

So, in other word, tmnets is doing everything they could to save their bandwidth?
Seriously, what is their true intention?

Actually it all started out with the people itself first, back then everyone was happy with their downloading and then came those that complained bout the network being so congested and laggy so with that TM came out with this to counter the problem. Saves them $ on buying additional bandwidth for the timebeing.

I know but, this service is not free.
We paid for it, and they should improve but not limiting.
Where has the money gone? rolleyes.gif
