OK just run the test - torrent had 100+ seeds with 7 leechers. At 167,100 there were over 20 seeders visible, only a few were fully established and speeds were totalling 1.6kb - 3.2kb/s, normally connected to one or two at a time. Same occurred for 10,10 - speeds no different.
Flick back on secure tunnel and back up to 60kB/s, connected and leeching from 20+ seeds.

I mean start the download on a fresh connection with 10 / 10 first.

Well then my theory is wrong then... either that or TM just changed their throttling methods. Previously when I did that I still can achieve 20k/s with international peers flowing... >_<

I guess tunnelling is the way to do it now, proxies are beginning to die now.

I've been getting weird speeds too thru my paid proxy. The speed changes all the time.

It was mentioned on the FAQs that using Proxy will indeed subject you to a werid situation which I so called name it "roller coaster" effect.

The speed will max out, for 10 or so minutes, then plummel down back again, after a while it will climb back up.

Is this what you meant?

Paid proxy? How much? I am hunting for a reliable proxy now.

Err LOL, i like that statement. So we're famous eh?

219.92 series, wonder how it will perform. I am still stuck on 60.48, sometimes occasionally (rare though) get 60.51

ROFL,you are abuse them and making them starting ban our IP,you just helping yourself to get good down speed via BT but you never think for others.
Think again. laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Well techinically I had tried to not to abuse it too much. In fact I only usually recover at most 60% of my speed through proxy, since I limit my global connections to 50 anyways. (bcoz without proxies my downloads were going at 0-20kb/s >_<). If i download some latest file like some newly released anime fansubs, then i would turn it off since local IP can upload to me much faster than what proxy can offer me.

Besides they didnt ban my IP, they just went offline. Their uptime is not 24/7, as it is a free proxy, you cant expect them to be available 24/7 biggrin.gif After a few days when they are up again I usually can connect back to them with no difficulties (oh i didnt refresh my IP for a week already, too lazy to shut down/restart router) >_<

That's why I asked about relakks. I want to get a paid service that can give me somewhat decent speed in BT by paying them (i got a whole list of anime raws that I havent got, those files usually Msian do not download) >_<

Dont make me sound like a bad guy here tongue.gif It's like i am the culprit why proxies could not work anymore LOL

Proxy are well, very much abused, esp. from Malaysian IPs biggrin.gif

So they tend to block off torrent like behaviors, that's why you can see alot of Target Machine is actively refusing connection error ot something like that >_<

Unless of course you're talking about paid proxy, that is a different matter.

OK besides HTTP-Tunnel and Relakss, any other service that I would think of subscribing to bypass the throttling? I've been throttled by a month and a half already, I seriously doubt they will unthrottle me at all, free proxy has been working, but usually it doesnt. So i rather get a paid service now to recover my speed. At least it will be stabil and available most of the time.

So what should I go for?

Some proxy enables me to recover up to max of my speed, which is around 170kb/s of downloads. Which service should I go for?

International peers are going through my connection, though VERY few in number. Same case as Axis, once in a while i got a task that somehow is bursting with international speed, and the other task is throttled like hell.

I had once added a Japanese game that has 120+kb/s download stream from only 3 Japanese peers, in fact one of them is uploading to me at 90+kbs >_<.

That happens, though very rare.

Maybe TM is not throttling 3 or 5 connections to overseas, and then rest of the international connection got throttled like hell. Just my speculation.

EDIT -

I had HTTP-Tunnel setup for my Guildwars game.

Is it suposed to be that slow (Free Server Mode)

I can barely get 2kb/s out of the game >_<

Lol.
Still running despite that the tracker is down..
Anyway, look at this....952 kb/s.. shocking.gif

It is a Japanese user. Heck I seen one Japanese peer downloading at 2.5+MB/s before >_<

--------------------------------------------

Yes TM was tinkering my line/account as well... my DSL light went off and on 3 times in succession when I was playing online game, making me disconnected at the end of it >_<. Blerdy hell, lucky my Blue Server account was not banned because of that.

You sure about that?

Last few days on those rare occasion that a JPN high speed peer went through and get connected, I still manage to get above 60kb/s from that single connection.

It's rare though....

One thing though, how come some areas are not throttled yet? Cyberjaya you can only get 5-8 KBps
*
Bcoz TMNet is thorttling all those high bandwidth use areas first, and never bother with those area that has low broadband penetrations (yes this CONTRDICT on what they say distrubuting it equally)

The first few areas that got hit by throttling are areas that has alot of students, especially college students. These students normally if they have streamyx connection @home or @rented home they will BT until like there is no tomorrow for their... stuffz >_<

I was unlucky bcoz my home area is located super near with TARC, therefore my area has alot of students renting room, homes, etc. So i was throttled at one of the earliest phase which is around early september.

Some users just start encountering throttling around october.

Some areas like Bukit Mertajam in Penang is still unthrottled >_<

i don think is depend on area, mostly they throttled by user basis. However, u will get better bandwith if local peer upload the file rather than international.
*
Nah dont think so.

I loaned my frn account that was unthrottled and login it on my side, still getting throttled speed.

EDIT - Typo mistake >_<

the user can mean ur phone line, not neccesary ur streamyx ac.
for example, u bring ur modem to ur fren's/relative house that don have streamyx, can u online using ur streamyx?
*
Duhhh.... Frn/Relative house that never had streamyx sure cannot connect la. The DSL is not even enabled, there is no port asssigned to it, how to connect?
