QUOTE(virtual @ Nov 30 2006, 10:25 PM) Definitely no speed limit but I'm thinking of limiting the number of connections to around 50 per user. The server resources is limited, if every user makes 200 connections per torrent then there'll be performance impact. Of course, the number of connections also account for the download speed. However, if we can get 20-30 seeders, the speed would mostly max already. So, pandai2 lah... I believe with azureus, you can ban certain peers. Rather than letting them occupy the connection, just ban them to let other seeders to connect. The ban can be removed after finished downloading. Well, that connection limit is still a plan. If every users can restrain to make too many connections, then i won't need to enforce it. just curious, if you set VPN service, can tmnet block your server ip or something like that in order to prevent us to connect to your server? It can be as low as RM 22 / month depends on how many ppl interested also. You got a good memory there and you're right. |

QUOTE(Nucleon @ Dec 1 2006, 11:16 PM) Once u got tuotu u dont need tunneling. you using http-tunnel paid version one? how's the speed? can max your download? i think it is risky to using http-tunnel at office. if network admin know, he can easily block the http-tunnel server's ip. than you cant connect at all to the server. this only can happen if your admin always monitor the traffic. if not, you safe already.I am using http-tunnel. Dont worry i am not afraid even u are TMNET worker. Basically TMNET ppl actually working under bosses who only know nth but their perfomance index. Something like grading. I know there is a lot of TM+TMNET worker in this forum. Some even taking care of important roles in the company but still... they are human... They could be like us love BT too much. Anyway if u got tuotu u should try out and u will know why it works. Cheers ! |

QUOTE(nwk @ Dec 5 2006, 03:15 PM) don't know why you want to keep your isp a secret. can't help you if we don't know what isp you are using. nevermine then. you should know by yourself when i said i cant say. it not someting like jaring, maxis broadband or penangphone. seem like it is secureix problem. couse somebody said it is because a lot of ppl has used it. maybe their server jam already. test with streamyx also like that. |

QUOTE(joeboto @ Dec 5 2006, 07:44 PM) if that happens, then it is clear that tmnet spies r lurking in this forum coz we always mentioning secureix. no, i dont think tmnet block secureix. it's secureix that block our ip. when someone post here that using secureix can increase our connection speed, a lot of ppl suddenly apply the secureix account. then everyone try to connect to secureix. that is why the server jam already. i think our ips have been blacklisted at secureix server just my duapuluhsens. |

from what i've read, BT throttling is not really efficient. sometime it fail. i've noticed when i'm download using http, the BT speed is slightly better. maybe the throttling devices have a hard time distinguish http and BT packets. how about try to download http and BT simultaneously. of course we have to sacrifice a bit our bandwidth for http download.

QUOTE(rainbow6 @ Dec 24 2006, 05:04 PM) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. free sock proxy is not reliable. if today can, the next hour cant already. if what the other thread said, they use hardware up to 7 layer to sense our packet, it is doom. if i not mistaken, this hardware only set normal priority to http/ftp packet and other common protocol. other protocol it will set to low priority. that is why even you encrypted your BT trafic also cant bypass. it is different from VPN encryption cause VPN still use HTTP. correct me if i'm wrong. For free socks proxy, visit and try out any of the proxy here. http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-type-Socks5.htm Try socks 4 or 5 in your torrent setup. You might get lucky and bypass tm cut throat policy. |

QUOTE(masterelr @ Dec 27 2006, 03:27 AM) I've been using those free proxies since september and I'm able to get full speed all the time. But of course you need to change the proxies once in a while. You can use some of them for weeks without changing and once I do change I usually don't have problems finding one that works. So yeah..works for me but not everyone. so you really lucky then. couse using sock proxy is one method to bypass, but finding free proxy is really hard. i never success |
