Anybody having problem with the proxies at xroxy?

It seems that either xroxy or tmnut have started to shut down the ability 2 connect 2 torrents since i've been getting shitty speeds just like b4 using the proxy.

Also i'm getting the msg that the target machine is actively refusing me 2 connect 2 the proxy.
*
That is probably due to the proxy banning your connection. We are abusing the free proxies with torrent activities, and those proxies were never meant to be used with torrents. So expect to be banned >_<

Change proxies in the mean time, as mentioned on the FAQ, proxies do not last forever.

Well talking about proxies currently the list in xproxy had a few proxies no longer on the list (and there a few more new proxies)

Gone were the Saudi proxies, it worked well last two days, then yesterday the speed plumelled, I guess it went offline.

China one were working darn well yesterday, I can occasionally hit max speed, but today it went downhill again, often hitting only around 30 - 50kb/s

I need to get a new proxy list soon >_< I almost used up everything on xproxy LOL.

Anyone know any other websites for a list of free proxies to abus... I mean try out?

If proxies it is more like trial and error >_<

Hey Everyone I think that TMnet blocks trackers using port 6969
I'll include pictures later...

By any chance are you using a proxy? Because this situation normally happen to me when using a proxy for prolonged period, disabling the proxy will bring out the tracker back online again.

Well so far on my side I have yet to encounter any problem with TM blocking trackers, let's hope this is not something new that TM will introduce to our system in the near future >_<

Proxy has been utterly slow for me today, often idling at 30 or so kb/s. Probably it is due to network congestion in my area, as I am having difficulties with the forums and connecting to Blue Server for DotA.

I changed proxy many times today, but still stuck at 20 to 30kb/s >_<

Yesterday i can hit max speed of 110kb/s with roller coaster effect in place, about 12 hours ago I can hit around 60kb/s.

It is getting slower and slower, anyone using proxies still able to hit around 80% of their max speed?

With proxy? Did you change your proxy to another one? Mine is quite bad, but still better than yours since I still can hit 30+ to 4x kb/s.

There are no free stable proxy servers that will give u high speeds. Worse, using those free proxy servers could get you in trouble if they report you to TM Net for 'hacking' into their servers.
*
Err... we're not hacking. We are kinda abusing it only >_<

Well I tried my best to keep it low, i decreased my global connection to a VERY VERY low number.

Same here.
Can't connect to tracker after using the proxy.

Anyway, I've never seen you offline even once.  sweat.gif
Don't you need to work or sleep?
*
LOL. My work contract is done (the web site maintainance thing), and havent found any new contract yet. About offline, err... I sort of left my PC and browser open almost 24/7 >_<. But I do sleep tongue.gif

I am still a student (err yeah, LOL, next month I grad). Hunting jobs for now, but yet to get any confirmation yet.

Anyways back to topic, yeah proxy seems to be dead, I am recycling, earlier found a good one, but it is dead in 30 minute (transfer drop to zero >_<)

Ahh man... maybe I should hunt for commercial proxies instead.

I think most of us are running out of proxies. The last three that I used were good and I was able to get full speed. Now none seems to work anymore.
*
Yup I am running dry as well. Guess we're abusing it too much util they decide to ban us or something >_<

Any development among the developer of the major BT clients ?
*
I doubt so, there is nothing new planned for uTorrent anyways for any new protocol. They are still working on the stable WebUI, if i'm not mistaken.

----------------

Yes most proxies are dead now, is Relaxxs(or whatever it is called) really working? I will subscribe if it is really working for torrents.

What I think is TMNet is just dropping off the multiple connections we're doing with overseas (as BT normally do multiple connection amounting to 100+), that's why proxies or VPN is working, bcoz it disguise the data link from multiple connection to show that it looked like one single connection.

This is just what I think, might be wrong biggrin.gif

That's why torrent encryption is not working well, because we are still doing multiple connections to overseas.

socratesman, yes the theory was tested out previously a few weeks back by me and another forummer. But due to torrent nature, when you are having so little connections, you are normally not connected to a large database of users, therefore you're getting peers that might be fast, might not be fast. Therefore the download were slow.

There is ONE time, one time alone that I luckily got connected to a super fast peer in Japan, and I am getting 50+ to 70 kb/s from that peer alone. This situation also occurred on normal torrent behaviour as well, but rarely, and normally when it appear on normal torrent environment, it will last around 10 to 30 minutes, then the peer connection will be dropped, either by TM (or the peer went offline)

But as I say, just my thinking. MIGHT be wrong, migth be right.

EDIT - Yeah I should try it out on one private tracker with very few leecher and alot of high quality seeders. But the problem is finding one that fits the description >_<

Well for starters you can try this.

If uTorrent, got to preference and decrease global maximum number of connection, I think 10 should do for now Put the same value for maximum number of connected peers per torrent.

Reset your IP, ie, turn off and on your modem and reconnect.

Brand new connection. Start the download of the torrent file, see if you can get any international speeds off the peers or not.

EDIT

AFTER - If you manage to get speeds off international peers.

Try to increase the global connection to 130. See if the peer connection stays up or not.

------------

UK eh... not sure about that, from my experience I get best speeds from Japan, those ppl in Japan uploads at an insane speed.
