do you mean to share file for faster speed , as you say "collect credit" ?

portforward ? BT use both tcp/udp but emule Tcp and Udp use different number.

yes~~.

http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/hel...4&rm=show_topic

The credit system is used to reward users contributing to the network, i.e. uploading to other clients.
The strict queue system in eMule is based on the waiting time a user has spent in the queue. The credit system provides a major modifier to this waiting time by taking the upload and download between the two clients into consideration. The more a user uploads to a client the faster he advances in this client's queue.

sounds like not very user friendly.
I guess it must be something wrong with the Emule/ pc setting .
even a little file ~6mb at "waiting" status at all time , much like no responding ( dl =okb and ul =okb , showing deep blue bar) .
I am not sure what's wrong with this.

It takes hours and hours before it starts going because you are in a queue.

All Relakks users - what kind of download speed are you getting? I am using secure-tunnel but past day or so speeds have been only around 20kB/s total on healthy torrents and I know its not the line as have checked with speedtest.net. Thinking about changing if speeds are good

Is there any special setting for Relakks on the MODEM or we just make a new connection for it to connect to VPN?

How ironic, after subscribed to http tunnel and getting bad result, instead of using other VPN or sock, I just ran the BT without any VPN or sock, and guess what my connection is now unthrottled, at least for these 2 days, can easily get 100+KB/s although not very constant, all the peers are from oversea. I hope it would last 4ever, bless me...

I also noticed that the throttling seems to have stopped. But the constant disconnections are a pain in the ass sleep.gif

I'm suspecting that Streamyx is experimenting on new ways of implementing throttling as a result of the complaints on BT throttling. I use newsgroups and I've noted recently that there seems to be a cap per connection system now in place - I keep getting a maximum speed of around 20kB/s average with just one connection to the newsgroup server that I use, and each additional connection adds another 20kB/s up to my line maximum of 100kB/s.

I also notice that this number seems to change between IPs - on some IP ranges, I get the 20kB/s average, while it can go as low as 5kB/s and as high as 30-40kB/s on others.

Additionally, the response as you add connections is not the instantaneous response that was common before the Raya holidays for me. Where I used to get an immediate jump from 0 to 100kB/s upon connection, I now get a gradual increase up to a maximum that sometimes exceeds the average, which then drops down to whatever average the particular IP range is giving.

This behaviour also seems to appear in mIRC DCC connections as well as HTTP downloads. I haven't tested FTP behaviour yet, though.

Using speedtest.net, I'm getting about 75-80% of the maximum speed 1 1MB line is capable of when using the Singapore test server. Using a California test server (which is where my newsgroup servers are) gives me about 385 kb/s download speed, which tallies with my current average of 35 kB/s per connection.

My BT speeds are still capped.

It may be that my 1MB line is being miscapped at a lower speed or having issues: my SMC 7004 VBR router doesn't tell me what my upstream and downstream speeds are. I can't check until Monday, when I have access to a D-Link router that can give me that info. It may also be that Streamyx is messing with their international pipe as they get in that new one that they said that they were getting "soon". But the connection behaviour is too consistently suspicious to just dismiss out of hand and the uncapping that some people have been getting may be coming at the price of a maximum speed per connection between you and any particular IP on the Internet.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues?
