LoL tournament structure for MY/SG announced. There's been a lot of talk about introducing a similar system for DotA 2. Valve currently lets the community do their own thing, but with the recent string of poorly organized tournaments, they could decide to step in and emulate Riot. |

Viper invites me to a game. Gets into a fight with the solo mid Magnus (for not buying Meka) and begins throwing. I say it's unfair that he throws just because he got into a fight, especially when we're in the same party. "It's only party MMR" he says, before deleting me. DotA is serious business yo. |

QUOTE(awongck @ Apr 17 2015, 02:14 PM) Solo queue can la, but if playing with serious friends somtimes they bising and say why dont let carry kill. Then they rage to max Slap them if they ever bitch about it again. Shoving all the gold and exp to your carry can prove to be a double-edged sword - if the enemy manages to take out your carry first, you're left with 4 heroes that lack gold and exp in comparison, two of which are commonly starved supports. I remember that post-TI3, analysis of Alliance's games showed that their major advantage in teamfights was that their team's farm distribution was more even; a combination of greedy supports, as well as sharing the towers/kills/jungle stacks. |

QUOTE(tutuyao @ Apr 20 2015, 09:55 AM) haha because of noob teammates? DotA 2 encourages an open community. Players from various backgrounds are lumped together as long as their base skill level matches. For old dogs like me that have been through the bashing of Warcraft III DotA inhouse leagues, in-game raging is all too common. That's why these days better to just duduk diam and play alone or with my old clanmates. If you think you can put up with my raging then feel free to add me, my ID is cartographer.but yeah i do agree sometimes a lot players i encounter in dota 2, dont like to push towers, which i really dont understand. i used to play draft, support, carry etc are very well balanced but when i play in pub.. omg i facepalm so hard |

QUOTE(Patent @ Apr 21 2015, 03:48 PM) At his level, a win may only award +5 points. If you want to be a stickler about the values, his total mmr gain for winning 10 games more than losing can be anywhere in between +50 to +250 points.QUOTE(enriquelee @ Apr 21 2015, 04:17 PM) For a large sample size, it's possible to approximate the results using a normal distribution. In this case, it makes more sense to do so as Valve uses a modified TrueSkill algorithm to rate players, which is based off a normal distribution anyway. |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Apr 22 2015, 03:33 PM) played with v1n0d yesterday night, opposite CM is good in buying stuff, but point is, is is worth to invest midas then get heart?? Your farming is very inefficient. I remember that we kept having to remind you to use your Midas. idk, i use sniper yesterday night because when i lose in my solo MMR, opponent got a sniper. That being said, there were multiple factors we lost that game. |

QUOTE(am3rr @ Apr 22 2015, 10:47 PM) i personally like to think about the hero. Less activatable skills/items = easier to play. Give #1 WK, siap ada insurans in case mati. everyone can farm, but to play well is a different story imagine someone new playing 1 position if they got a little bit better offlaner can cincai eat him. |
