Informative and it helps that you articulate the concepts well. I'm not a believer in this but the thread (and the whole folk religion) is interesting.

I'd like to know what the view is among sintua's adherent regarding the universality of the deities/ghost when it comes to the dead from other parts of the world.

I've read a few pages back regarding the medium who channeled and spoke in some ancient form of Chinese and did trigger this question that I have.

Was thinking about you when I was reading over there few days back. Took me long enough to get here and ask you some questions.

I was here in the beginning of your sintua thread and MIA in the middle so forgive me if the questions are repetitions.

Are there checks and balances in that world / dimension? If yes, is it by the deities or by the humans channeling them? Be interesting to know your input since you mentioned early on in the thread the the deities might have left this dimension but what's left behind is their essence / influence (sorry forgot the term you used).

The C&B comes from reading how malevolent beings creates trouble. Any punitive action against them or their mediums?

Who/what are these entities? Different from the stories you've regaled us with (the brothers, Miao Zhong etc), what are the basis for these tiny spirits in jars / fetuses or the yes-man that does the bidding? Lost spirits?

Thanks for the explanations! Good to know that people who does mischief (to put it lightly) won't get to hide behind the "protection" of those beings while meddling in other people's life.
