I will state this for a fact.

Not once during my career as a doctor have I encountered anything of a supernatural bent.

My workplace life has been completely ghost-free.

But do you see or sense the patients having evil negative Qi aura around them ?

A cousin of mine who used to base in HTAR, Klang as a pharmacist there.

During many of his night duty, he used to sleep in one of the rooms there which was known by other to be haunted. However, he didn't experience any paranormal activities during all his time there.  I believe if one is "protected", ghost won't be able to disturb or harm you so easily.

Actually this is also something to do with the person's BaZi and his profession. They may be able to withstand or not in same channel (frequency) as those beings.

Ba zi is nothing but a general astrological guideline.

I cringe at people who take it as the word of god, the be-all-and-end-all of metaphysics, or some kind of mystical code that determines everything from your destiny in life to your spiritual resilience.
*

Ya, it is just a part of it, there are many other methods that may be able explain that.

San Qing, that wld be the Three Pure Ones?  Have heard of them, but yes, are they even in temples?  Maybe the famous Ipoh Sam Poh Toong?

Jade Emperor wld be Yook Wong Tai Taei.

Noticed that many temples are either Koon Yam (Guan Yin) miu or Guan Taei (General Guan) miu.

Also some Monkey God temples.

At home, most wld pray to Theen Kong (err .. Sky Deity?)

And Taei Chue Kong (Earth Deity?)

And Koon Yam.

In some local temples they do have The 3 Pure Ones, the manifestations from the Big Tao then they "manifested" the Supreme Jade Emperor, flanked by 4 high ranking assistants, then followed by the department of Thunder Lightning, Beings Salvation, etc. Followed by East Wood King and West Queen. So the lists go on...

Kuan Yin resonates the compassionate energy and activities of the Immortals. There are male and female forms are people pray to. General Guan is also famous due to his historical hero activities, is one of the Heavenly Generals, Marshals.

Thean Kong, you are praying in respect to the Heavenly Deities, only sometimes the Heavenly beings on duties may descend or Fairchild (servant to the higher ranking)...

Earth Deities, we pray respect to them as we live on Earth. Depend on area and geographical sites. Some may not be called as Deities yet unless their cultivation has reached to certain stages and get "promoted"...

Is that what the Taoists are preaching, or something of the sort?

That the San Qing manifested the Jade Emperor?

Folk religion states in no uncertain terms that he was a human disciple of Yuan Shi Tian Jun, the leader of the San Qing, who cultivated himself over a period of several millennia in order to attain sufficient worthiness for the role.
My understanding is that Guan Yin doesn't have male or female forms; she is a woman through and through.

And it is Avalokitesvara, the genderless Bodhisattva from whom she originates, that has multiple forms both male and female.
*

Yes, some sort. However Taoist in record generally states that Jade Emperor is the Tao Qi manifested by The 3 Pure Ones after a period of time. There is no replacement to this "role" as what some could say so.

There is another form and name as in Taoism, don't know how to translate here. In Tibetan Buddhism, Guan Yin is revered as Avalokitesvara, a Male form. So there could be a mixture of different stories and aspects to this Deity where the popularity is widely recognised by Mahayana schools.

Anybody knows what this is? I guess it's Tibetan. I've seen people hanging this above the main door. Some people just put it on the altar.

Tibetan Feng Shui. There is another form that combine Taoist methods with Tibetan methods, similar purpose. Deflecting evil negative energy and bringing or transforming into positive energy into house.
