In Buddhism got teach about the earth-bound and tree deities.

I was told the tree deities inhabit some parallel dimension inside the tree holes and they are known as yakkhas - quite fierce and protective of their dwelling.

Some of them were hostile and disturbed the monks during the Buddha time. The Buddha taught them monks meditation of "Metta" loving kindness and radiate the energy to the entire forests, then the tree spirits left the monks alone.

My uncle last time went into forest and cut some trees for bonfire. At that night one of his friends were possessed by spirit and scolded them Kao Kao. My uncles who was an atheist until today dont dare go back that forest

in Sintua tradition , do they believe a person , after death can become a god?

It just gives me the impression that hell existence and hungry ghosts are being given more attention in afterlife.

When I was younger, I was told most humans after death will go to see Yama King at Hell to be judged. Some will reincarnate, some will be punished.

Can u illustrate to me the concept of afterlife in Sintua beliefs?

How about gods?

Where do they come about ? Are they created , or they are reincarnated virtuous humans?

I was told seeing dead relatives is not a good sign as it points to a rebirth in the netherworld (ghost realm). Some see fire of hell moment before they die. Some see ants (lots of it) crawling all over the room (animal rebirth).

Seeing red curtain-like thing is a good sign --> rebirth as a human (a woman's womb in next destiny).

And of course, if you see castles and huge gardens , congrats it's a rebirth in the god planes. BTW, the gods will know if you will appear in their place, so they will appear to you before you die, awaiting eagerly for your reappearance there

according to your belief, how does a god arises? because of good deeds done as human , a person becomes god?

who is the highest god in Sintua? Tian Gong?

Any reason why the deity in Sintua belief needs a medium to talk to humans?

Why can't they just manifest themselves , or take form as human directly with their mind-made body?

They can be god or human in their long journey in round of suffering to gain merits for supreme enlightenment

Well... the skin changes can be explained, due to hot flushes to those who can't tolerate it. As to her change of behaviour, interesting though.

Is she a weak type of person?

It's hard to tell though whether this is her own mind doing the trick, or there are external spiritual influences.

A friend of a friend of mine has witnessed a spirit possession of a non-chinese , suddenly spoke in Cantonese language cursing everyone beside her. Apparently on that night, a chinese woman just leaped to her death from the apartment after a heated argument with her husband.

Even my atheist uncle had seen his friend got possessed by forest spirit, after his friend cut down branches from a tree in the forest to make campfire during a scout trip. Until today he still cannot explain it, although he still remain atheist.

How does the chinese calculate the full moon calendar anyway, any idea?

Full moon , astronomically is on Wednesday (6/9/17) afternoon about 3pm. But chinese calendar look at full moon at 5/9/17, which is a day earlier.

some say the food won't taste as nice as the nutriment elements have been absorbed
