Phantom lord and king ghost diff? I saw you already sent off the king of ghost 2 or 3 days ago right?

The ship is lighter than one might think; it's largely wood and paper, after all.

'Phantom Lord' is another way of addressing the King of Ghosts.

Not all temples and sintuas are sending him off on the same day; it should ideally be done on the last day of the Hungry Ghost Festival, but obviously not everyone is free to do so on that day due to work commitments, family commitments, etc.

Burnt out ends of smoky days... the stale cold smell of morning.

Conclusion mass.

Sending off the City God.

Grand finale.

Back through the gates.

Sweet slumber.

It's over, folks.

The hungry ghosts have had their reprieve.

The gates of hell have shut and the festivities have come to a close.

Be not sad that it is over, however; smile because it happened.

Let us raise a toast to absent friends, old gods and the season of mists.

And may each and every one of us give the Reaper his due.

Li Ya Pek and the Filial Son celebrate with the Monkey King.

Today is the simian deity's feast day.

In Penang there is one temple. Li Ya Pek same like this. Like to gamble. And his position is number 9 out of 10.

Last Monday was birthday of “Cheng Wang Yeh”.
Which is deity is very high position and consider superior to some Tua Li Pek Ya

City God definitely outranks Tua Li Ya Pek, but I would hesitate to call him a deity of 'very high position'.

He is a minor magistrate as previously discussed.

The Nine Emperor Gods festivities are upon us.

Ji Gong participates in the rites, accompanied by a host of his godchildren, all dressed up as him in his honour.

Down by the seaside.

The ritual incense urn is imbued with the essence of the Nine Emperors by bringing it out into the water, then brought home to the temple in a palanquin.

Devotees welcome the arrival of the Nine Emperors.

Tua Li Ya Pek bid Na Zha a felicitous feast day.
