hi all,

I moving to new house(rent) with no internet excess
thinking to register a fibre optic package for self use(or maybe share with 1 person)
I know unifi had a stable gaming experience but I wish to get a maxis fibre where it's download speed are way more faster than unifi.

so I asking about your bf4 gaming experience to whom are using maxis fibre.

Thanks,
Regards

maxis fiber is riding on TM backbone. and i heard maxis fiber has problem of its own. so a word of advice stick with TM.

i believe if your new rented place dont have TM service then there is no maxis fiber either.

Actually, Maxis fiber is currently the best for playing BF4 on the SG servers. They do depend on TM HSBB for last mile access, but beyond that, their Internet connectivity is completely theirs.

With TM you get nasty 40ms - 80ms ping (with lots of packet loss with the latter) due to congestion.

With Maxis, it's a steady 10ms++.

In fact, the situation with TM is so bad that I setup a VPN for my close friends, so that they can take advantage of my Maxis connection.

Nope, no sudden lost connection - but maybe that will happen if you're on a private IP.

Other than that, I know that their connectivity to Blizzard SG is bad. Don't know about others because these are the only two games I play smile.gif

anyway, couple of my clanmates is using maxis.
one in KL used to complain about frequent disconnects...another in BU also say connection issues when watching football matches online tongue.gif
so its also highly dependant on ur area and how congested it is.

my streamyx here is pretty stable...hardly disconnects / lose service.

but for low ping...either maxis or go at least unifi 10mb.
for me, 30+ is decent enough already...as long doesnt go 150ms which is abit unplayable.

Depends on the area... Tried Maxis Fibre in Klang area and it was horrible.. frequent disconnects and 999 ping, UniFi is way better there
