Hi Guys,

I'm looking to get some exposure to China A-Share market. Any fund that you guys recommend?

I'm looking at Affin Hwang China Growth Fund, I know it's a wholesale fund. Right now it seems that only Philip Mutual is willing to take in my investment with 5.5% SC.

Another one I'm looking at is AmChina A-Share but this one looks like roller coaster. Haha.

Some recommended CIMB Principal Greater China Equity. But I think this one has too much exposure to Taiwan and Hong Kong. Which is not my goal.

What do you guys think?

I had this China fund with me from FSM SG since last year May, also a recommended fund by FSM past few years. So far lock profit at 20%+- : thumbup.gif

My reasoning (could be just me) -

If one day I were to migrate, the nearest and most probable destination would be Kiasuland - close distance, similar culture. And, over time, Kiasuland has proven itself to be the most competitive among SEA nations. So, u probably won't go too far wrong with SGD as Ringgit/inflation hedge.

Don't take my words for it, u think yourself tongue.gif

okie, thanks!
like what are the catch if I have fundsupermart in malaysia- such as limited funds choice to invest in? while in singapore, say I have more access to funds. Is there such barrier? icon_rolleyes.gif

Why don't you try open both account? Most of the fund (Eq/Bond) in FSM SG do charge platform fee per quarterly while FSM MY do not have platform fee. Another main different is you can enjoy 0% SC from FSM SG via RSP to all funds while FSM MY charge 2% on equity fund.

Here's the latest promotion from FSM SG:
Let’s Sale Away – 0% Sales Charge On All Funds!
2015 is a year of many celebrations, where we celebrate our 15th year anniversary alongside Singapore’s 50th birthday. For the last week of January, enjoy some perks when you invest with us.

If you invested in a short period and your ROI is very high, then IRR will be extremely high and could be misleading.

Manulife India Equity Fund has been spectular but the concern lies ahead if those who wanted to pursue for it is whether it could sustain its high ROI. I don't want to be trapped again like last time when China funds were introduced when China equities were at its highest all time high.

Think about it!

1. What are the new restrictions on the CPF Investment Schemes (CPFIS)from 1 Jul 2010?
From 01 Jul 2010, you will not be allowed to invest the first $20,000 in your CPF Ordinary Account and the first $40,000 in your Special Account. You will have to set aside $20,000 in your Ordinary Account and $40,000 in your Special Account respectively before the excess savings can be used for investments. If you do not fulfill these requirements, CPF Board will reject any withdrawal requests for your CPF investments.

Benchmark very high doh.gif CPF got seperate into 3 sub acc: Ordinary, Special and Medisave account sad.gif
