after an email to fundsupermart on their promotional sales charge, their reply was this

"Thank you for your email.

Please be informed that the sales charge for your purchase order should be 0.5% instead of 1.75%.

Due to our system restriction, the purchase order via RHB-OSK Cash Management Fund 2 will still show the normal sales charge. Nonetheless, we have manually adjusted the sales charge for your purchase order to 0.5% accordingly.

Any confusion caused to you is much regretted.

Should you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us."

so when you buy with cash or cash management fund, the sales charge is 0.5% . due to their system problem, they will show 2% sales charges when you purchase using cash management fund but it will be reverted back to 0.5% , gonna try again next sat.

in my humble opinion,

1) QE by europe. market translate to good news... stocks up up up? seems like it, correct?
for the QE, more money is printed and the extra money goes into buying euro stocks and stock market else where, so which is why stocks go up up up

2) but... QE by europe... euro down down down... so... i'm investing as a foreign investor... so i hope the stock gains outweigh the currency drop?
if the euro central bank print more money in QE, the value of euro goes down. But because the value of the share market upside is more than the currency drop so it's good for you.

Most of the PRS funds is usually at 0% SC.

Some said that RSP on non-PRS funds with FSM is charged at 0.8% SC.

Management fee is charged by the fund manager and not by FSM.

There's a 1% discount on the service charge for new member if you use RSP for the 1st six months
and also 1% discount on service charge for the 1st month for new member

http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...?articleNo=1985

I don't think there are any 0.8% SC promo.

quarterly investment approach? how is that? Contribute every 3 months?

If that the case mine, monthly approach, just matter of splitting more or less from my contribution to MY/other region funds

but why quarterly? isnt that abit like missing the in between the months upside opportunity?
*
quarterly should be due to withdrawal via epf which only allow us to withdraw every 3 month, unless you withdraw one lum sum to a bond fund via epf and switch out to equity fund monthly . this method will not allow you to use any fsm discount or promo as it is intra switching.

anyone understand how the "chart my fund" in the fsm website works, there's a "my initial fund allocation" and "my current fund allocation" , when is initial , one month ago, one week? i see only little difference between the initial and current.

the FSM app on mobile can provide better charting , why can't they improve on the m'sia FSM website,

how many fund do you have in your portfolio, i think i have too much, more than 20, including some overlapping type like those that have epf and prf

anyone bought the rhb-osk entrepreneur fund? heard about this fund during the RHB investment talk, 70-80% into japanese market, launch in 3 nov.

on another note, eunit-trust having promo until march on selected funds, so those fsm holders without the promo 0.8% sales charge can buy from there.

hi

happy CNY, with the 30% allocation of REITS in your portfolio do you mean to buy funds like AmAsia Pacific REITs , KAF Global Diversified Property Fund, RHB-OSK Asian Real Estate Fund, Affin Hwang Select Asia Pacific (Ex Japan) REITS and Infrastructure Fund or Malaysia REITS stocks

thanks
