Btw, the 0.5% SC also applies today? When I try to test buy, still indicate 0.5%, same if i proceed to the next step of confirming my transaction...

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Jan 14 2015, 09:02 AM) Addition:- I just checked EPF online... This is what it had to say for dividend for year 2014 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ftw?! Or just wait for them to announce it in the papers. And it actually got mentioned that "Dividend Year 2014 (Dividend Not Yet Announced)" This post has been edited by kabal82: Jan 14 2015, 09:28 AM |

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Jan 14 2015, 09:34 AM) yup you are right. I do have investment using EPF but thru PM UT funds... 1st time investor at that time, so far my PM UT funds i invest thru cash is better performer than thru EPF monies...I just saw the second pop up when i tried and click on the 2015 statement. It's said the 2015 statement will be made available once the dividend has been declared. Anyway, you decide whether dividend payouts by EPF are better than unit trust funds. http://www.kwsp.gov.my/portal/about-epf/in.../dividend-rates |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jan 16 2015, 12:55 AM) Just let it be... probably a mistake from FSM... Previously encounter same thing for my ES GEM fund... 1% SC for 2 consecutive RSP (due to some promotion on previous month)... did ask them why still 1% instead of 2% but they explain different thing to me |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jan 16 2015, 09:15 AM) But sometimes it makes u wonder how efficient is FSM system & how they really deal with other fund house when it came to discounted SC? Can we trust them 100% with our $$$ or not? This post has been edited by kabal82: Jan 16 2015, 09:18 AM |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jan 18 2015, 11:01 PM) Ok, so u are assuming a market crash causes a fund's net assets (its holdings of stocks plus its cash) to drop 20%... Yup, that's what I'm thinking also... just want to post it also...Scenario A - Got distribution After distribution: NAV = 50 sen Market crash, the fund drop 20% 50 sen - 20% = 50 sen - 10 sen = 40 sen 40 sen x 20,000 units = RM8,000 Scenario B - No distribution NAV = RM1 Market crash, the fund drop 20% RM1 - 20% = RM1 - 20 sen = 80 sen 80 sen x 10,000 units = RM8,000 Unker...ada faham ar? Got distribution, u will lose 20%...no distribution, u will also lose 20%!!! Better to use % instead of NAV coz it'll confused own self only if didnt really understand it... |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jan 18 2015, 11:13 PM) This is what i want to post before i saw pink bro's post...QUOTE The way u portray the NAV is wrong..... Assume :- Scenario 1 NAV = $1.00 = 10,000 units = $ 10,000.00 After Distribution, NAV = $0.50 = 20,000 units = $10,000.00 Let's say NAV dropped by $0.10, NAV = $0.40 = 20% drop Scenario 2 NAV = $1.00 = 10,000 units = $ 10,000.00 Let's say NAV dropped by $0.10, NAV = $0.90 = 10% drop See the differences??? Can't use the same NAV dropped value... better use percentage in my opinion... just my 2 cents only Better compare apple = apple... what u doing there is u try to compare apple = orange 2 totally different scenario |
