I was planning to wait for the Saturday discount to top up CIMB Dynamite Income. Now, I'm thinking whether to top up half now first

Eastspring GEM also has some HK/China and ASEAN stocks which Affin Hwang Asia Quantum and CIMB Dynamite Income might/can have.

But up to 40% of Eastspring GEM are exposed to "pure" EM markets like middle east, Africa, Emerging Europe, Russia, Latin America etc which the other 2 funds are not exposed to wink.gif

jutamind u trying to build a portfolio? biggrin.gif

Today Asian markets red red

Don't wait for Saturday 0.5% discount, top up now! tongue.gif

That's what I was planning to do. But I think US valuations a bit on the high side now so I switched to Aberdeen Islamic World instead.

Are you holding KAF Global Fund too then? Are you selling it now or waiting for it to wind down?

Index funds tracks the index, right? It's good when the index keeps going up like in the past few years. But in a downturn, it will go down just like the index too? I'm interested in index fund but not brave enough to buy yet.

How about dividens? ETF pays em.. index do not.  tongue.gif

Here is the performance of S&P 500 index fund I own... big difference from what you draw out.  tongue.gif They have divvy yield of 1.83% as well.

500 Index Fund Inv (Annualized)
1 Year : 13.51%
3 Year : 20.22%
5 Year : 15.28%
10 Year : 7.55%
Inception : 11.10%

You can see the results here.  wink.gif

I have a question about IRR calculation in Excel. If I have done a "switch-sell" all the units from fund A to fund B, do I still include the transactions done for fund A in the IRR calculation? Or it doesn't matter whether to include or exclude?
