QUOTE(yklooi @ Jan 20 2015, 07:16 PM) NOt Only this funds....MOst of the funds involved in China/India are doing great....see attached for details i think will take profit first...http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...?articleNo=5420 Should you take profits? Up to you...if i say "Yes" would you listen? ha-ha. If you are still hesitating, i think you need to reconsider/rethink your risk profile or appetite. suggest you think why you bought this fund, use the Star rating in FSM to see and decide..... |

QUOTE(polarzbearz @ Jan 21 2015, 08:40 AM) For your case, I agree with others explanation, look at percentages. Let's put it way, you are comparing two different animals, cat vs dog. Cat (rm1) drops rm0.1, translated into percent is 10% loss. Dog is rm0.5, drop rm0.1, translated into percent is 20% loss, of course you will think that 'more units more loss' but actually if u look closer above, I didn't mention about unit at all, because root cause is the percentage of change. I used to : ANALYSE TILL PARALYSE... Moving forward, I will just do a simple worksheet for my self...For my case, I'm curious what does the % means in "past year performance.". Does +15% means last year's NAV was rm1, now is rm1+15%=rm1+rm0.15=rm1.15? Or the % means something else (their stock holdings? Their assets?). As for the profit or loss, we are only comparing our purchase cost VS current worth right? money put in.. VS current Value. then do a simple formula for percentage... Bear in mind ya... PAST PERFORMANCE is not reflective of FUTURE PERFORMANCE. |

QUOTE(xuzen @ Jan 27 2015, 02:09 PM) My core is 45% (REITS) of my port. 15% bolehland (used to be > 50%, before the oil price decline) and 15% @ US. Just in case you don't know, I use algorithmic programming to determine my asset allocation using the Markowitz Portfolio Theory. OMG so high tech!!! I dunno what is that also... Xuzen |

QUOTE(xuzen @ Feb 10 2015, 03:44 PM) I am reluctant to buy Ponzi 2.0 because I am not sure if the superior performance is due to the superior skill of the fund manager or the broad market movement or simply new capital injection from CIMB-PRS. what is US fund?BTW, this mth boring month, nothing sexy... just top up REITs, Asia-Pac exJp Dividend fund and US fund.
