As for Pink Spider, need your help to do a one-time update in the first post tongue.gif. I've made changes accordingly (based on your existing first post) in below code so you can just copy&paste easily thumbup.gif

[i]Make sure you read the instructions as many of the cells have formula in it. You can freely modify, update, or change it to suit your needs (and even share with others if you don't mind :P )[/i]

notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif I found the root cause (this happens when we have different locale setting. Example: my excel doesn't parse "RM 1,234.00" into Number 1234.00, it is treated as text string. But if we are using Malaysia Locale setting; RM 1,234.00 will be treated as numeric value 1234,00.

Working on it now tongue.gif

Released v1.1 of the Conversion Tool, can be downloaded via clicking here.

Change log:
CODE
Fixed a bug which will happen if user's locale setting is set to Malaysia (where ""RM"" will be removed from Unit Price / Investment Amount automatically by Excel) - by having two approaches:
If approach (1) to directly conversion of the value into numeric value fails (it's a text string); it'll use approach (2) where the manual trimming method will be used to remove the ""RM "" (text RM<space>) and convert it into digits.

woonsc you can try again and see if the problem persists tongue.gif

Tested on your sample data and working fine for me (excel 2013)

Do you have enough rows to "hold" those values? There's no formula in the first few columns, just formatting. Unless you dont have enough rows in the spreadsheet to hold the values (do it fund by fund, not one shot everything)

Hello guys, may I know if the Annual Expense Ratio already includes other fees listed in Fundsupermart website? For example Annual Management Charge and Trustee Fee.
*
yeap.. deducted by the FM from ur NAV everyday~

kecuali ur Front Load SC la.. nod.gif

QUOTE
Q: WHAT KIND OF CHARGES DO I HAVE TO PAY?

A: There are 2 types of charges. One is the sales charge and the other is the annual expense of the fund.
The normal sales charge for most equity funds are around 7%. However, at Fundsupermart, the advantage is that most equity funds are sold at around 2% sales charge. The sales charge is applied at purchase.

The annual expense of the fund is what is charged to the fund. This includes the fund manager's annual management fee, and other administrative fees that are incurred in the running of the fund. You do not really need to fork out additional money to pay for the annual management charge to the fund manager. They will actually deduct it from the Net Asset Value of the fund daily, and the published price will take into account of the pro-rated annual management charge.

Thank you very much for your swift reply.

I'm currently targeting 3 unit trusts, namely Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund, Eastsprings Dana Investment al-Ilham and Aberdeen Islamic World Equity Fund - Class A.

Currently I'm leaning towards Eastsprings. Would you guys think that would be a good choice?

Thanks again.
*
yeah.. i looked through it briefly..
I lean more to Eastspring too..
they have similar returns somehow.. but Eastspring has lower volatility then Kenanga..
U can see the Lipper Ratings also.. Eastspring have a straight 555..
compared to Kenanga 545.. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

but Past performance is not an indicator of future performance..
all has risk, notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
