My portfolio consist of four funds and they are all in positive category, except Bolehland small cap.

Bye bye Bolehland....  I have even sold off all my favorite Lee Sook Yee fund. No emotional attachment; when it is time to sell, it is time to sell.

I am invested in SenSexy (India), Asia-Pac xJP, REITS and some small % in Eastspring small cap.

Oi! What happened to your faith in Ms Lee? tongue.gif
And that Bolehland-delivers-the-alpha thingy? rolleyes.gif

So, at the end it's Mr Chen 1:0 Ms Lee? laugh.gif

I did thought about it yesterday...but then RM has already dropped against SGD.
Too late now?

My reasoning (could be just me) -

If one day I were to migrate, the nearest and most probable destination would be Kiasuland - close distance, similar culture. And, over time, Kiasuland has proven itself to be the most competitive among SEA nations. So, u probably won't go too far wrong with SGD as Ringgit/inflation hedge.

Don't take my words for it, u think yourself tongue.gif

QUOTE(xuzen @ Jan 16 2015, 11:22 PM)
Let me educate you:

Alpha: absolute return. To layman that is the ROI.

Beta: measure of risk usually use one standard deviation although some smart-Alec at Morgan Stanley Investment bank used only downside risk and hence called it semi-deviation.

Delta: the related coefficient of the derivative product against the mother or underlying asset it is derived from

Gamma: The rate of change of the derivative product price against the underlying asset price movement.

hmm.gif

Investopedia:

Alpha:
A measure of performance on a risk-adjusted basis. Alpha takes the volatility (price risk) of a mutual fund and compares its risk-adjusted performance to a benchmark index. The excess return of the fund relative to the return of the benchmark index is a fund's alpha.
In simple term - Outperformance

Beta:
Beta is calculated using regression analysis, and you can think of beta as the tendency of a security's returns to respond to swings in the market. A beta of 1 indicates that the security's price will move with the market. A beta of less than 1 means that the security will be less volatile than the market. A beta of greater than 1 indicates that the security's price will be more volatile than the market. For example, if a stock's beta is 1.2, it's theoretically 20% more volatile than the market.
In simple term - Correlation to market

regarding the unit trust NAV , for eg, CIMB Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund , will the NAV on a particular date eg. 15/1/15 correspond to market on the same day or previous day (14/1/15)
*
The date u see is the ACTUAL date.

E.g. yesterday is 16-Jan-15, both CIMB and FSM website would have NAV price for the fund as at 15-Jan-15, fund managers usually take 1 business day to publish

Yea I know about the delay of 1 business day in publishing the NAV.
but the NAV on a particular date ( 15/1/15) means it is corresponding to market on 15/1/15 ?
