Can anyone share about the experience of teeth extraction due to bracer installation? Any side effect or inconvenience in your daily life after that?
Just went for Invisalign assessment and did some x-ray scan, turn out my overbite are quite serious... Doctor suggest to remove 2~4 teeth, or not at all with shorter treatment period but less favorable result. They are working on the detailed treatment plan and show me on the next appointment.
But think of removing 2~4 healthy teeth for good, is quite scary

QUOTE(holborn @ Oct 23 2022, 01:02 PM) I had 3 "good teeth" removed for my braces treatment. 2 at the top, 1 at the bottom. Had a overbite problem as well. No inconvenience to me except aesthetic wise I was quite shy to laugh or smile with the gaps of 3 missing teeth. Then again I was more self conscious of my wonky, overbite teeth also. So it was an OK trade-off. The gaps from the removed teeth quickly closed once my braces were put on. I'm not sure if you've proceeded with your teeth extraction by now but I highly recommend it if you're still hesitating. Having space for your teeth to be "pulled back" is essential to reduce the overbite. I took the plan to remove 2 teeth instead, but havent extract yet. I saw some comment on the internet mentioning they have problem breathing during the sleep because the oral cavity had turn smaller, causing them having trouble resting their tongue. Did u experience this after the treatment is done?
