What’s the difference between trad clear ceramic braces and damon clear ceramic braces? I’m still a student but is working part time, so I’m planning to pay on my own. Not sure if damon is worth it or just go for traditional one.

I opted for traditional metal. My dentist said the end result will be more or less the same whether it’s metal or ceramic.

The only reason to go for ceramic is it’s less noticeable. I was a bit shy to wear at the beginning lol. After wearing for close to a month already, i feel like the braces don’t bother me anymore.

Damon is a brand of self ligating type of braces. There are other brands.

Traditional braces make use of elastic ligatures to hold wires to brackets. Self ligating braces use door mechanism to hold the wires so no elastic ligatures.

You can change colour of those elastics on traditional braces if you’re into that sort of stuff. Since self ligating don’t use elastic ligature, there’s no colour option.

Some people say self ligating is easier to clean due to absence of elastic ligature. Personally, i don’t find it difficult to clean my teeth with things like water flosser and electric toothbrush. Flossing is the one that takes up most time to do.

I also don’t know. Friend sent it to me. I didn’t ask much as I already done my braces which is more expensive than this (regret hahaha). I think you better contact them to find out. Just Google their clinic name and you can find them.

From what I know, Zenyum needs custs to send in pics of their teeth first. Only then can you go for a consultation at their partner clinics.
They also have a relatively shorter duration as compared to other braces, about 3 -9 months est. Their cust service team shared that its because Zenyum only does aesthetic corrections on the front teeth (top 8/bottom 8). So if your main concern is mainly your smile/front teeth, you should consider.

My friend recently went for his consultation. And the doctor took a scan and xray of his teeth. Dr mentioned that after consult, Zenyum will create a 3D video for him based on the scans/xrays. the video will show how your teeth will move from start to end.

Am considering myself to go for consult, as the price is quite affordable. RM5399 for the braces now bc of merdeka promo. Usual price mayb abt 5599.

Whats the best option if after 5 years since removing braces, the teeth has shifted a bit? Wasn't super disciplined in wearing retainers hence the teeth especially upper ones has jutted out a bit already
