does anyone having problem of loose brackets? I just had braces on my bottom jaws two days ago and can already feel two brackets are loose!

Anyone has open bite issues before their braces.. Which dentist did you guys go to and how has it been going? Do recommend pls. Thanks (i'm in KL, PJ)

are the brackets detached from your teeth? if so, u need to tell your doc to fix it, usually FOC

not sure what u mean by open bite but if you go to https://www.facebook.com/whitesmiledentist there are a lot of cases there. Maybe can find one that looks like yours?

I just have my braces on yesterday and is indeed suffering. I can't even chew cabbage nicely and I can feel the pain.

Any suggested food to eat? I am start to thinking how to survive for 2 years time.

Porridge is the best solution. Usually it's just first time you'll feel slight pain. My friend and I didn't feel any pain at all on the second month. Still, depends on each person. I bite whatever's in front of me, at most, just having loose brackets (Just go to the dentist and have the dentist to 'glue' them back, FOC). The annoying part is when the food got stuck between the brackets

Yea exactly! Is like a nightmare to me when the food got stuck between the brackets and even worse if is at the deep inside. Currently I am taking mushroom soup with bread for 2 meals and so far is still ok. Have to look for more options before I get bored with mushroom soup.. ><

My front teeth now very sensitive too, feel hurt when accidentally bite on it.

To be entirely honest, no it doesn't hurt... Only when they give the injection it hurts a little... But if u wear braces that pain is nothing ba...

Feel 2 brackets are loose? You will know when it's loose lo... Cuz you will hear it break off or you will find the bracket freely moving along the wire... In the case of back brackets it will totally come off!


Lol when you start you will go all liquid but after awhile sien edi everything also you will whack... Only one or two days after adjustment you go for softer food XD

Don't worry the sensitivity lasts a couple of weeks max, very soon you will be biting into mcd burgers again


Unless the clinic you go to has topical numbing gel... Then injection also will not feel any pain at all! I removed two... Very fast and you won't feel it don't worry! You will be extracting before putting on braces or put on first then only extract?

you mean the gel that will make your mouth feel numb??

nah that gel will numb the area where the doc will give you the injection... then your mouth will feel numb

yup i know that thing, cause i went for tooth cleaning last few weeks ago and the doc spray it into my mouth.. and i can barely feel my mouth after that... haha
