that's the one I was talking about laugh.gif
I suddenly feel the urge to have some bling bling gundam. Is there any difference between Shiranui Akatsuki and Oowashi Akatsuki Gundam besides the backpacks? I mean quality or articulation...

yeah, actually I was planning to get the Shiranui ver. Just wondering if Oowashi had better articulars tongue.gif
Hyakushiki is nice, but I'm more interested in Akatsuki for several reasons smile.gif
- GS Fan
- Akatsuki head looks much better
- nicer backpack tongue.gif

yup.. best bet is the shiranui.. better lookin backpack. mine's just fine, but dont put in a room with a lotta sunlight, coz the color seems to easily fade away.. even indirect sunlight made my shiranui fade... :|
*
hey, was wondering if the kit really loses its color. Can solve this using Top Coat spray or not?

yeah topcoat does protect the colour from fading. hopefully the topcoat itself doesn't fade? >_>

haven't tried that before. Anyone care to share experience?

Seriously, the Akatsuki's worth buying....it's damn shinny, hehe  rclxm9.gif

problem is which to pick. Damn Ban Dai really know how to make money vmad.gif
I'm not choosing Shiranui Akatsuki also for that reason. The backpack is like Infinite Justice (& Saviour) which I already have. Will almost look exactly the same. I want something different tongue.gif
Buying both is a big nono shakehead.gif
and Cosmic Region's Akatsuki...although has both backpacks and has its own custom stand, looks...weird. The shoulders are just...off blink.gif

QUOTE(Fasap @ Dec 4 2006, 12:32 AM)
bcoz ppl wanted 'FLAT' finish.. the ones still sold there are semi-gloss rite? been there on friday... only those left.. semi-gloss or gloss is less 'realistic' and cant reduce the plastic feel of the gunpla.. still lovin the flat type.. never fails to satisfy me..  icon_rolleyes.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
yup, most people go for Flat Top Coat. I think those used in Bakuc are also Flat Top Coats rite? smile.gif

now honeymic is telling me to wait for 1/100 Akatsuki to come out before buying. How? unsure.gif
I prefer 1/100 models coz 1/144 size is just too small tongue.gif

Somehow I feel that the original Assault Shroud has better looking designs that the chunky Blu Duel. Throwing daggers.... Kinda stupid to me... I'd prefer the original micro missiles... And the two folding pistols makes the forearm look fat and ugly... whistling.gif Original Duel is still the best. thumbup.gif
*
I agree...throwing dagger part is just plain stupid. But what I like about the design of Blu Duel is the armor hanging on its shoulder. Yes, it will only "protect" one side of the mecha...but I just like that design tongue.gif

custom paint?
or there's always the Gold & Silver plated markers laugh.gif
but for air brush users...I think there are plenty of metallic colors around for them.

problem is there are only gold and silver colors. Nothing else. So unless you're planning to have you model in only gold and silver...markers are not much of a solution.
the effects of plated markers? See it for yourself smile.gif

Well yes I did...  tongue.gif And it is about time they released some good designs for HG or even 1/100. The BuCue was one of the better suits in CE. I expect a LaGowe to be released soon.
*
You like BuCue? I don't really like it. Color also not nice tongue.gif
ah yes...LaGowe version...just change the color shakehead.gif
