I was in the middle of spraying my Crossbone X-1!!!! Dammit..QUOTE(WaytoDawn @ Jan 8 2007, 02:35 PM) Well, the gold on the normal ver looks ok, but i'd like to add a coat of gold paint. Do any of you know where can i find this particular paint (gold leaf) type paint from tamiya? i can't find it at Tamiya Mid Valley. Or Mr.Hobby no.9 gold? And is there a paint known as clear yellow? Which is the best shop to find these spray paints? Pls reply.Thank you. I got my gold leaf tamiya paint at the KL branch near the petaling street!!! I prefer the Titanium Gold color, looks more shiny. Overall the tamiya metallic color are better than those from Mr Hobby, the Mr Hobby Gold color just look like poo.sry for all the things i asked if they were asked b4 by some1 else a few pages back. |

QUOTE(whoami123 @ Jan 8 2007, 05:36 PM) Of course compressor A cheaper way to get compress air is to buy gas tank for cooking! But u may have to do it in open groundair tank pressure will drop when the air inside is getting lesser then you'll facing problem when you are spraying the paint on your model |

The concept of the Cooking gas is same as a Air Tank! The gas r keep in liquid form and the preasure of the tank is higher than outside, it also has the hose that can be used on Airbrush. So it is appliable!!!
However it has a high risk doing so becoz u may "poison" urself or even end up with an explossion! Conclusion is it can serve as a air tank for ur airbrushing but it is darn dangerous!!! Airbrush at your own risk! |

QUOTE(fyire @ Jan 8 2007, 11:31 PM) hmm.. damn.. was hoping that there would be some sort of air flow thingy that will help to regulate the pressure... oh well.. Hmm.. any idea how much is a decent quality compressor? Then u should most likely buy an Compressor!!! U wont want ur condo to explode when ur GF press the bell right! ps. I did ponder on the idea of the gas tank b4, but well, me gf threatened never to step foot in me condo again ler.. QUOTE(whoami123 @ Jan 9 2007, 09:22 AM) young_soul: My whole set of Airbrush set cost me about RM1400!!! That was a good one it has built in Airtank + moisture trap, it has auto cut in and cut out (cut in when lower then 4 bar Preassure and Cut out at 6 bar)! Can operate full day without having to rest (thx to the cut in cut out control)! Cost around 1k not including the AB!If RM 300 is whole airbrush set (airbrush pen + compressor) then it's not a good one or just entry level it might not last long If RM 300 is just the airbrush pen then that pen is a decent one a decent airbrush set will cost you more than RM 700 Got it from Multiffila! Nice service even when ur compressor has problem. Get fix within 1 week from my previous exp! Today i went there again and the uncle there explain wat happen to my compressor! Seem like i have been using my compressor wrongly and end up having my compressor oil all lost and end up burning my compressor!!! He gave me 2 choices, 1 is replace the inner part with a 2nd hand unit one(FOC but no warranty), or change a new part (RM150). |

Lol thats why in Malaysia Gundam Model making r not famous and popular!!!
The distributor here does not care to "push" this particular hobby in this country, all they want is $$$$!!! u wont get to see younger generation play this stuff, and maybe later there wont be thx to them! |

QUOTE(asuk @ Jan 10 2007, 09:24 AM) lol, thats a bit harsh. to their credit, they do actually promote gunpla with the BAKUC, seed competitions. they even have junior category for those. while i do agree their stuff is overpriced, but business is business mah... Yeah i see there held such events too but as u can see Malaysia BAKUC the standard are not quite good! And it does not show any improvement for so many years, it is like always those few person that participate the competition.Compare Malaysia with the Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong one! Malaysia is way way back! QUOTE(Foxngn @ Jan 10 2007, 09:50 PM) yeap. that time it sell along with the MK.II ver.2 & also the Super Gundam, all in RM132, but not sure about now. R u sure the Zeta is ver 2.0? Not ver 1.0 for tat price? |

U get the degenki with the gift or without the gift one? Sekian. Zeta 2 for RM 132? Dirt cheap for a 5K yen kit... Can't be... GT sells it in the region of RM 160+ if I'm not mistaken. Special offer perhaps? Stock clearance? If it's selling for RM 132 sure got people go sapu all... Oh yeah... Dengeki Hobby Taiwan out now... anyone bought it? |
