I think they do in bulk, maybe the price is cheaper and more attractive than only one house doing it.

of course...same thing happen at palm walk sg long...

developer only built the guard house and manual gate..no fence and no auto boom gate...

RA get the fund together and set up the fence and built the auto boom gate with access card control...

also all housing phase at sg long and mahkota cheras doing like this..
as long as resident united, no issue...total houses at SEH for double storey link 20x65 and 20x70 is about 600 plus...

let's say 50% agree to pay it, each house donate RM200, is about 60k already...should be enough to set up a boom gate..need someone take the lead...i suggest Sam gor...

I already have in mind Sam gor to do it but not sure he will take it or not 

By the way, our area is quite big. How many guards per shift do you think is required? 4?
If is 50% paying for it, I think RM50-60 should be enough to hire 6-8 guards for 24x1 month.

Allot gor, SEH RA leader should be someone really dedicated and committed to work / fight for better benefits for the whole residents.. He should be the one always at the frontline when there is issue going on. 

We need a quality leader on this and I strongly believe there will be many suitable candidate for this position..

We try to make Presint 1 guardhouse 4 seasons together...   

So nice guard house but manual gate.... Not match at all....

Is it because the guideline number 4 below?

In Selangor, the Housing and Property Board and the local authorities allow guard houses to be built based on certain guidelines amongst which include:-

1) Applications made through the Resident Association (RA) only;
2) Consent by 85% of the residents;
3) Agreement must be made between RA and local authority;

4) GUARD HOUSE WITHOUT A BARRIER ARE ALLOWED and the location should not obstruct traffic (situated at
road shoulder only);

5) A written consent from Local Authority and Land Administrator (LA) for the construction of guard
house on reserved road/vacant land must first be obtained;
6) Appointed security guards must be registered with Ministry of Home Affairs or with other relevant
agencies;

Guard house confirmed SPS will build for us. If the auto boom gate not expensive then we can quickly do it once we have Committee formed

Sam gor leadership will be good for us. Hopefully he can ask all the residents (or at least 7-80% like u said) to contribute each month. By the way, if the auto boom gate we install 4, I think shld be around 40K+. Probably 1 person need to contribute less than RM200 for the first time if there are 300 ppl paying for it

Newbie in Lowyat.  Bought a unit in Angusta. Been following this thread. Can't wait to join the real community in Ecohill. Looks promising to me despite some bashing here and there about Semenyih.
