Getting Started

well, you can try a simple troubleshooting by opening up ur xbox, loosen the hd and the dvd ide cable, then tighten it back...if its still gives you trouble, most prolly the dvd started to show its age.... try starting by not booting up the modchip, but off course, u still need ur xbox ori dashboard to work... like bro judge said, either ur dvd or modchip started to go kaput....
djinn is no more working at OU, you can pm him or call him directly regarding ur xbox prob...need to meet up somewhere i supposed...but, he's very reliable coz i got my xbox from him...still in good condition accept my network port kaputed on me, my mistake actually, hehehe....

does the 'require service' page appear even with no disc inside? if yes im assuming HDD failure, quite common. anyway, on the error screen there should be a number on the top left/right (cant remember), that's the error code. refer to this page to find out what they mean.
