Need some help here.

I am planning to buy iphone 6+ 128GB (Grey) [if no stock then iphone 6]. But I wish to purchase it with the 0% interest monthly installment plan with Maybank credit card, as currently I have many necessary purchase to be done simultaneously due to my new job requirement. So an installment plan will give me less strain on my cash flow.

It is also unfortunate that I have to get it done before 1st week of January 2015 as I am flying around that time.

Can anyone of you suggest to me which shop offer this kind of purchase option?

I do not want telco plan contract as my usage nature put me at a disadvantage if bond by the contract. I barely talk or sms.

I am from Klang Valley region.

Apart from BendGate, also network related issue which they will fix in next iOS update. Knowing Apple, they will introduce more bugs.

I've been buying iPhones for years. Started with original 2G back in 2008 bought from US. History dictates never buy 1st generation of new design / model.

Example:

iPhone 4 - AntennaGate fixed in 4S
iPhone 5 - ScuffGate fixed in 5S
iPhone 6 - BendGate will fix in 6S

Just wait. It won't kill ya.

If need to buy, stick to 5S but don't update to iOS 8.1.2! Avoid it! I updated my 5S and now WiFi is still broken.

Since everywhere also no stock(except 16GB) especially klang valley, your best option is apple store if you need it before 2015. If you have another credit card besides the maybank one, just buy it using that credit card then transfer the balance to maybank as they are currently having 0%-interest balance transfer for 12 months.

You already have cashflow problem and still wanna buy iphone 6?? doh.gif

Tak beli iphone won't die.

Go buy cheap RM300 Android phone. Can whatsapp and make calls also.

You dun change your lifestyle, will ends up as bankrupt statistic soon.
*
biggrin.gif Dun jump into conclusion too early.

1) My gadget once use is use up to 4 to 7 years didn't change. It make more value for me to get the highest spec so it can last till that long and does not get phase out.
2) It is not that I can't afford it, at other month I would have been able to purchase at once. But prior to these I already purchase some machinery for myself, and then immediately after that the company suddenly announce new task, that requires me to obtain some new gadgets at once too. It is all in allowance, but account closing now money can only come in next month, or maybe even Feb. However task must carry on, so I got to pay myself first and claim later. So now all dump into my cash flow, kind of unexpected.

And of course if there is no such shop around (which i do not think so because I came across before in my memory), the next back up plan will be like what you said, get a cheaper phone, and then next year i get my iphone again and this cheaper phone keep as back up.

Little little thing ask ppl aware of bankrupt you too caring la bro.

No debt with me. No CC debt also.
0% interest installment should not be any issue isn't? Still do not pay more in the end. Probably by Feb i already dump in a lump sum to settle it.

iphone 6+ 128GB (Grey) BUT seriously are u going to buy 6+ 128gb. i heard lots of problem happens to 6+ 128gb.
1. 1gb ram not suit 6+ (too big screen) (remember ipad browser keep refresh)
1.1 best if u can wait until they come out 2gb then buy or buy the 6 instead
2. 128GB has problem on 6+ (find the article on macrumors)
2.2 but still i would not consider because 1gb ram only

nevertheless is your money, u can do whatever you want with your $

Iphone 6 also can accept, I am thinking 6+ 128GB because of the camera only as iphone 6 does not has stabilization but 6+ does.

May I ask iphone 6 128GB got suffer from the problem you highlighted?

Actually the optical image stabilization kicks in only when taking pictures. And the difference in negligible between the two as apple's camera algorithm always prefers faster shutter speeds and cranks up ISO, then relying on the software to reduce noise levels. In video I read that they both utilize software image stabilization. Hence when you compare video shot by both phones on YouTube you won't notice any difference

Biggest advantage taking 6+ over 6 is the battery life followed with bigger screen estate. I am still deciding over these two tho. There are like more issues on 6+ rather on 6. sigh

Visited Mac City in One Utama and according to the staff there this problem of 128GB has not appear in Malaysia or ASEAN batch of iphone before. They too read or heard about this 128GB issue but from Western market batch.

How valid it is, consumer has to determine themselves.

Following theberry suggestion, I went to One Utama today and here I share my finding to those who are interested or happen to be in the situation like me, where a 0% interest monthly installment plan is preferred.

Unfortunately all of these shops currently run out of stock, only left with golden color iphone 6+ 16GB, which I do not prefer.

The following list the shop that sell Iphone 6 / 6+ and offer 0% interest installment purchase.

1) SenQ
- Depending on the type of card (which bank) you are using, and how many months of installment chosen (maximum 36months for certain bank card), there is a different amount of one time handling charge will be imposed. This fee maximum just RM84 for Maybank credit card, which correspond to 24months.
- If Maybank credit card user choose 6 months installment, no handling fee at all, meaning at the end of the 6th month you paid exactly like the people who purchase with one lump sum, no extra fee paid.
- Out of stock, waiting list (people who paid deposit already) already got 20+ people queuing for 6/6+ 64GB/128GB.
- Soonest is end of January 2015 will have new stock.
- Other phone model (Sony, Samsung, etc) also got similar installment plan available.

2) Aeon
- No handling charge at all regardless of how many months buyer chooses.
- But only accept few type of bank credit card. Maybank is one of it.
- Can only be 6 months of 12 months.
- All the phones (Samsung, Oppo, etc) also available for this installment plan.
- No stock available for iphone6/6+ , unknown availability date.

3) Mac City
- 4% handling fee chargeable. I.e. if your product price RM6000, you choose 6 months, then each month you pay RM1000. But at the time of application and receival of product, you need to pay RM6000*4% = RM240 to the shop as handling fee. So at the end of 6th month, the device will actually cost you RM6240.
- No stock for iphone 6/6+, unknown availability date.

4) BEST
- If Apple product, then got 4% one time handling fee. Other than Apple product, no handling fee for monthly installment plan.
- Unfortunately only ipad, no iphone is carried by this shop. But I included it since it carries Apple product.

Surprisingly, most of the iphone sold in the above shop except Mac City are purchased by installment plan. Especially SenQ, almost all buyer also installment plan user.

Thus like what yusiang has said, every where no stock. The only available source will be Apple online store but has to be paid all at once.

Hope this info will be helpful to those who looking for alternative purchase method for Apple product.

Thanks for informing. But I am leaving at 1st week of Jan and will be outstation for 3 months continuously. It is a rural place, to find a gadget shop there is a hard.
So I have to resort to other alternative.
Is ok for me because I am not hard core Apple fans. I choose it at first because most people advises me only iphone will not experience lagging after more than 2 years. Android mostly will start to lag at that time, even after re-format.

Buy online from Apple Store, they can deliver very fast within 3-5 days.

Then call credit card center convert your payment to be instalment plan, eg Maybankcard, Public bank & etc, they do offer it...
*But bare in mind not every credit card offer instalment. Check with your credit card bank before purchase.

I guess it is best way for you, fast to get it with instalment plan smile.gif

Not a wise choice. As a former owner of Z1 Compact and current owner of Z Ultra, be careful of the flaps to access the micro USB port. They tend to break after a while. Once broken, no more water tight.

Apple only promises to ship out the phone within 3-5days and not will reach you within 3-5days, easy to get confused with these terms if not read and understood properly

and also I read someone mentioned about 0% balance transfer installment to another credit card, so purchase with card A and then balance transfer the amount to Card B after making the purchase is a good way to save on interest imposed if you call the bank A directly to request for installment. this is a good way to get an interest free installment.

I visited one or two Harvey Norman shop before, I think one of the visit is in Sunway Pyramid. As far as I can recall, I did not see any iphone 6 sold there. Even other brand of handphone also little only.

I believe Harvey Norman has Maybank 0% EzyPay scheme too. Seen this advertisement board at cashier counter of Harvey Norman several times.

Lag free phone last time should be IPhones, but not sure about android flagship nowadays like 1+1, Note 4 and Moto X. Will they lag maybe long period of use? let's say after 1 or 2 years?

In my own experience, Moto X/G or Every Moto devices from 2013, Nexus series, HTC One M7/M8 won't have lag for long term usage. Or almost possibly not to have this issue.

Samsung phones on the other hand, I cant guarantee it. The skin is too heavyyyyy.

I wanted to try iphone for the first time too. But like some have said, I am currently waiting for the "s" series. It's evident actually. The first original model will have issues, since the iphone 4.

I'd look for 5S if can't wait to try iOS tho.

I am using HTC ONE X since 2012, ready to change new phone now since the screen smacked 2 weeks ago. Sigh. But then, can't really wait until "S" series to come out. Samsung touchwiz stuff, really appreciate if Samsung can give us pure android.

Bro.. U seem to care about camera and lag free phone.. Why not the lumia 930? Or if u insist want an android, I'd recommend LG G3. Both phones got ois and their prices are below 2k.

Sorry for late response, didn't receive notification from forum. You are right on the two aspects that you mention, those are my primary requirements.
Prefer Android because Windows platform afraid some apps (e.g. game) not installable.
The LG G3 spec attracts me, but 5.5" screen really too big for me. Nowadays phone maker all fancy large screen display.
Anyway, eventually I got myself a Z3. First time use smartphone a lot of headache for me to learn. Now i have to key in my contact from my old phone to new phone one by one, what a process. cry.gif

people don't key in anymore, most phone has the transfer contact feature to a vcard(.vcf file) and android will read up and import all at one click. sweat.gif

I cant because my previous phone is not a smartphone, is the press button kind Nokia phone, the era where color screen just barely started, not even has bluetooth. There is some connection point at the bottom, but the relevant cable is long lost. SIM memory is not sufficient for all my contact. So other than manual, I can't see any other way to get around it. As of time of writing I am still typing. rclxub.gif

iphone 6+ 128GB (Grey) BUT seriously are u going to buy 6+ 128gb. i heard lots of problem happens to 6+ 128gb.
1. 1gb ram not suit 6+ (too big screen) (remember ipad browser keep refresh)
1.1 best if u can wait until they come out 2gb then buy or buy the 6 instead
2. 128GB has problem on 6+ (find the article on macrumors)
2.2 but still i would not consider because 1gb ram only

nevertheless is your money, u can do whatever you want with your $
*
you heard lots of problem, but i dont know why after i using it more than 1 month also didnt have such issues...
1. browser refresh you meant safari? i using chrome anyway.
2. 2gb will certainly better i think... but i did not see any slow or lag even in 1gb ram... maybe i just did not abuse it too much...
3. heard those boot loop issues in MR, but for myself did not happen whatever problem... buy from start till now never restart one time even
4. if 1 gb is your concern you can go buy other phone with 3-4gb ram...

for me i choose 6 plus over 6 because
1. camera OIS
2. battery (triple / quad battery lifetime of m y previous iPhone 5, my powerbank stay at home now)
3. screen and iOS apps scales quite good for iOS compare to android
4. 128gb storage can put whatever you want... believe me after you buy 128gb you would not want to look back anymore...

what i dont like
1. protruding lens
2. phone slippery without casing
3. camera quality still can improve

*
Suggest you not to buy first. Installment of anything will cause you alot of stress.

Think about not buying before but eventually the living condition at my new work place leads me to conclude I must need a more advance gadget. The sole reason I pick iphone in the 1st place is I believe it can last me 4 to 7 yrs like my old phone does. And I only will accept the monthly installment purchase option if it is interest free. But now due to no shop has available stock I have get myself a Sony Xperia Z3 with cash. So my problem considered solved. Thanks for your suggestion. rolleyes.gif

At other month I would have purchase via Apple Store online, always got stock and delivered to your door step. The only draw back is need one lump sum payment, unless u have the Public Bank credit card then you can convert it into 12 months installment interest free without any handling fee. Sigh I do not have this bank credit card.

If you want to wait for shop, I can say is crazy waiting time. The queue is so long that I immediately forget about getting it from shop. The only available stock is 16GB Gold color version, which I cannot accept.

@scoutfai,
If you're planning on signing up with Maxis, I believe MBB has an EzyPayment Scheme and rebate of RM300. The only problem here is finding a Maxis dealer who's got the phone! smile.gif [unless you're looking for a 16GB]

Thank you a lot guys for the kind & useful suggestion. rclxms.gif
Nevertheless due to urgency and I got other work related machinery/gadget to purchase as well, so I got no luxury of time to spend on searching anymore, I have then get myself a Sony Xperia Z3 from shop.
I will see how this phone performing and if it is not on par with my expectation then chances are I will be joining Apple community when 6s released.
Once again thanks for the feedback. You guys are helpful. notworthy.gif

You can try either at Epicentre or SenQ.

In fact, you can stretch it to 36 months at SenQ: -

Well, there's a couple of thoughts on getting an iPhone 6 and 6 Plus now...

1. Apple is about 2 weeks or so away from announcing the latest iPhone 6S and 6S Plus (or so we think that's what it will be called). And usually once they announce the new phones, the 6 and 6 Plus will receive a reduction in its retail prices. And one thing I like about Apple is that even before the 6S and 6S Plus gets here, the price cut is immediate. So you could either hold on and get the 6 and 6 Plus at some discount in September or wait till November/December and get the latest 6S and 6S Plus - I mean if you're going to spend so much, why not get the latest?

2. The flip side is, with our currency dropping like no tomorrow, there is even a possibility that Apple might announce a price increase after the launch of the 6S and 6S Plus, so instead of a discount, you might find you need to pay more for even the older versions of the phone - which is cr*p but that's our current reality. So if you really need the phone now and since Sen Heng makes it easy to own one (36 months installment), then go for it smile.gif

The choice ultimately is yours smile.gif

I see, is it admin fee will be same of charge regardless of the how many months installment ??
*
Yes, assuming you buy the phone at 3,000 and the admin fee is 90 then it is 3000 + 90 = 3090 divided by the number of months. So if you consider the admin fee as an interest, then it is lower for longer periods of installment smile.gif

Noob question here.

Does easy payment in senheng only for credit card holder?

Should i wait for new iphone???

QUOTE(scoutfai @ Dec 23 2014, 10:10 AM)

*
well when using credit card also will block your credit lo..eg..if you swipe 3K transaction and applying for the 0% interest for 10 mths...so basically the credit company will also block 3K from your credit..then on monthly basis deduct 300..
why do you need i6 when not using it for call and SMS? how about online? with this high tech smartphone..for sure you need data at least to communicate..
these days it is always cheaper to get from telco since you will still need the basic call/SMS and most importantly is the data..with 4G..everything is super fast so for sure need more data to support it..
my 2 sen..wait for the promo on smartphone bundle with the plan one la..

QUOTE(acbc @ Dec 23 2014, 10:17 AM)
Better don't buy. Save up and wait for 6S. 6 too many issues.
*
by the time you get your 6S..then few more mths..then 7 will be out la..if you like it just buy it la...smartphone now is like a must have items

wow..how do you purchase without credit card?? is it something like courts mammoth when you can pay by installment with interest charged? do they ask for deposit or some security to ensure you don't run away? what happen if you cannot pay back?
well by the time i6S come to m'sia it will be end of the year if lucky or early next year...my advise is if you like the size of i6 or i6S..get it now...now the 128GB got stock anyway coz my friend take contract from telco...

better do your research coz once lock in then no turning back unless you want to pay for penalty...my advise especially buying high spec smartphone..make sure the deal is good and the coverage is good also..no point having i6 when the signal is only 3G..

As an OP of this thread I feel so surprise that this thread still going on strongly even after I have solved my own case long time ago.
It has now grow into a very informative thread on the options available to purchase iphone (any model) with installment method.

I think the title should be changed to "How to purchase iPhone with interest free installment" instead of the current " Where can I buy iphone 6/6+ with 0% installment".

Can anyone help me tag moderator to modify it?

Telco company is really hardcore selling smart phone/ smart pad with their telco plan. In fact, instead paying extra interests for the bank, buying from telco also cheaper than market value.
I guess is a good direction for alot of ppl .
tongue.gif I am not moderator. But I guess it is okie la!!
This thread may help people who interested to buy iphone 6 with the cheapest and more affordable way!

haha guess it's all depend on your budget lo..if got money..then buy cash lo no need to lock down..if like me who want t be updated with the latest phone but no $$$..sign up plan lo...
got myself iphone 6 128GB..loving it wub.gif

So if we don't continue using the prepaid, we will just lose out on the upfront payment that is supposed to be rebate back over 24 times/months right?

Not the topup, there's another upfront payment amount, which I believe will also rebate back whenever the internet iPlan is renewed/activated.
