Technically not an Alpha family, but a distant relative.

RX100m3 with timelapse app, stretched to 30% speed. Best viewed in fullscreen 1080p

Which is the best inexpensive 50mm lens for a7?
*
Here's a rough breakdown. All assuming you want AF.

55/1.8 Zeiss E mount FE
50/2.0 Loxia E mount FE (edit: sorry this is manual focus)
50/1.4 A mount (Sony/Minolta) + LAEA4
50/1.7 A mount Minolta + LAEA4
50/1.4 Zeiss A mount + LAEA4/LAEA3
50/2.8 macro A mount + LAEA4

You might need to do a bit of research on their price in the open market yourself.

Anyone care to add into the list anything I might missed out?

I like it to have AF for macro lens...but sadly Sony never have macro lens that 1:1...and Sony lens also expensive  doh.gif

I had Kenko auto tube set, so play with it with current lens only lo for macro
*
I'm not sure what you're referring to by Sony not having 1:1 macro lenses

On the A mount, there's 30mm/2.8 macro, 50mm/2.8 macro and 100mm/2.8 macro which does 1:1

On the E mount front, there's 30mm/3.5 macro and 50mm/2.8 touit macro which also does 1:1

Mind clarifying?

i am using kipon adapter for my minolta md-nex... ahaha

recently bought one nice minolta 135mm F2.8 to use on my A7...

wrote a simple review here:

Read that review, thought you were talking about the Minolta 135/2.8 with AF, and not the Rokkor version.

many possible to reach that.
low F is one of the most easier (front light reach sensor faster = bokeh) or zoom len even 55-210 (not enough room for background = OOF) can do that ....... play with ur camera more and u understand how it work.

Wow! So revolutionary! I'm mind blown! *sarcasmmaximus*

so expert, pls enlighten junior like me ..... how light travel, pls use layman term, not copy from internet ....
if can also teach me on how wave, spectrum and so on.

btw can i ask, how many type of light (sorry me layman) ur camera sensor able to do.

sorry i aint sarcasms, i just wish to know.
thanks MASTER
*
How light travel: in a straight line in medium of the same diffraction indices.

Wave, spectrum (technically, its not used to describe a single wavelength of light), but in your case; yes, it travels in a straight line in the same manner as above.

Theres no such thing as how many types of light, rather, how broad or which portion of the wavelength you're referring to.

But excuse me, i dont understand your last question. But if i were to answer it anyway, I'd say, zero. A camera sensor doesn't emit light, so it is not able to 'do' any light.

Rest assured, those were absolutely not copied from the internet.

the 1st picture looks not bad, but i think the 2nd pictures better, although noise is look kinda apparent

I don't think it's noise you're seeing. It should be water spritz. If it was noise, it would've appear in the darker parts of the image as well and not only at a single patch. furthermore, its shot at iso200

Personally, I think it's overexposed and low in contrast

Fjive

Do you have a filter attached? If you have, remove and try again.

Is the front and rear element of the lens clean? Clean any marks with lens cleaning solution.

Test with another lens to confirm this phenomenon.

nice..but could be better if you applied hyper focal technic at 1st pic smile.gif

Thanks, but I did not intend to have everything in the frame to be sharp. I wanted the yellow arrow only as the main focal point.

tbh i am a bit worried that the SEL2470z do not live under the expectation of a cz lens in terms of image quality. The pricing is definitely exp and hopefully it will become a good kitlens replacement.

Anyone here using the SEL2470z mind share some experience?

btw which lens is good for videography on A7ii? took up few wedding video job at the end of 2015 and hopefully can get a decent lens to do the job.
*
The 2470 will do well for video.. though, in tight spaces, you'd probably wish you have the 1635 instead..
