I was planning to get a PS3 since im a full time gaming on pc, but i wanted to play FF13-3 lightning return so badly that thinking of getting a ps3 or ps4 for better gaming performance. I heard ps3 game not supported on ps4, so any idea on these 2 console?

P.S: Until Dawn is coming soon on ps4, seems interesting

You can stream PS3 game on ps4 but you won't able to play PS3 on ps4. This means you need ps3 running on another room and have your ps4 running in another room to get it working. Make sure the Internet is available to both console. Hopefully Sony will release ps4 version 2 that is fully backward compatible.

- PS3 if u want to hv a massive library of previous n current games (still growing but will stop one day). Lots of multimedia functions (MP3, vids,streaming content from pc)
- Ps4 if u want to hv a reasonable library of current games (better gfx) n still growing. less multimedia functions but future updates could change that

Streaming ps3 games to ps4 is based on the available library on the server (PSnow service) rather than a physical copy from the PS3, but do double chk on it.

Well PS3 is definitely cheaper and large library of games however I think new releases will soon be phased out and of now the PS4 exclusives are finally taking off so I think if you can afford it, go with the PS4.

why not get xbox instead? FF series was available for xbox you know?

The upcoming games are all mostly to be only used on PS4, buying PS3 now would be waste of money because it is going to be outdated very soon.

if u want to play FF13 that badly, i got few advice

1)waste money getting new ps3 when u can use that money get ps4, ps3 going phase out.

u can either, lend a ps3 from a fren and buy the game and play, or just get a second ps3 and satisfy ur thrist.

Final Fantasy 13 Lightning Returns is coming to PC right? May be more worth it to wait and purchase the PC version since you already have a gaming PC rig.

IMO, PS3 is worth buying if you are planning to play old exclusive games like Uncharted 1-3, Beyond two Souls, God of War, etc. If you are buying a console to play upcoming games, then PS4 will be more worth it.

yea, but waiting for final fantasy 13 -3 to come is suffering lol, especially after you completed the story and lighting wake up in the end and you want to find out how the whole story finish.

Oh shit talking about beyond two souls, i want to play this so bad too.. but seriously i think im gona buy both ps 3 and 4 since is doesnt cost more than 3k for both. Dont flame of wasting money or rich lol, im working now but i found out i buy these stuff could make me happier than spending on foods

Haha... If can get both PS3 and PS4 then it is certainly the best of both worlds. Yep, Beyond Two Souls is a good game IMO, if you get the PS3 that is certainly one game I'd recommend. And if you'd like JRPGs, then the PS3 have quite a few JRPGs that are not available on PC

Oh AFAIK, apart from the final fantasy series, I think most JRPGs have anime-like graphics unfortunately. Only the final fantasy series have pretty good graphics. One of which I quite like is tales of Xillia. i'm currently playing the sequel Tales of Xillia 2, but I kinda like the first one better. But their graphics are all anime-ish one.

Tales series, ar tonelico, atelier series some of jrpg i like. idk why when playing xillia 1 & 2 make go in rage mode (maybe coz some char).

You guys suggest better get ps4? Im thinking getting one for this upcoming game dynasty warriors 8 empire,bladestorm nightmare & toukiden. But both of them came out on ps3 also. Im still hesitate either to buy one. Still even ps4 release new version or something the current one still can be used right?

xbone sucks. No exclusive and the hardware is inferior to PS4 depite the price. Not that i care...now playing WII U, sick of all those violent games on PS/XB/PC. Sama saja.

The FF13-2 port to PC was an unplayable shitz which lags and jerks regardless how powerful your PC is, don't bother.

XBONE where got? Only XB360, which i dun play anymore...and FFXIII seriously is a piece of shitz. Play a bit on my XB360, stupidest linear gameplay ever. I will rather play some rail shooting game in the arcade than this junk. Total waste of time. The last FF that was any good was FF9.
