want to ask you guys. how is the touch screen sensitivity ha? tried oppo. not responsive enuf. one plus one ok?
*
truthfully speaking, after using asus, htc, oppo and now opo, i can't tell any difference.. OPO responsitivity is normal (on XHPH44S), i think before the update, several users reported problem with multi-touch..

i used my wife's FInd 7.. screen is responsive enough. same with my OPO. mine with the Orzly TG screen protector (any good protector would give same result as without SP i supposed).

The best way i think is to test the screen responsitivity at the shop smile.gif

hey guys, iphone user here by the way thinking of trying an android phone, the iphone is my first smartphone so i dont have any experience with an android phone. Its between the one plus one or the g3 !

Hi there, welcome to Android rclxms.gif

my suggestion, as this is your first foray into Android, buy a phone that comes with original warranty.. as much as i ADORE the OnePlus, it doesn't come with original warranty (i mean the one where you can exchange/repair without additional costs).. at least in Malaysia.

Go for G3.. search for reviews from AndroidAuthority website.. i find The Verge site reviews tend to be biased towards Apple stuff..

thanks for the replies guys..i'm still using my iphone 4s

Yup somehow the iphone's camera sensor is better in general compared to the android phones but I was looking at that oneplus forum thread where the user posts his photos taken with his 1plus and the photos were pretty awesome

@evanrue : ive been thinking of the g3 but raelly wary of the UI lag or any lag for that matter..coming from an iphone where as you know there arent many lags or none at all since it cant be customized and all that...no offence guys, ive never used an android phone at all so I dont know but i keep hearing/reading the reviews on the UI lag..it differs for so many ppl, been reading all sorts of reviews, some rave about the battery, some complain...wah damn pening lol
*
I can recommend the OPPO Find7 or Find7a if camera speed is your priority; the ColorOS camera speed in both OPPO phones are fast. ColorOS itself is not that laggy, but I personally prefer stock or near stock UI (Trebuchet, Google Launcher, Nova).

I can't say much about Samsung phones; i generally stay away from Samsung because their design aesthetics are not my cup of tea.

As for the OnePlus One, it's an excellent phone provided that you:
1. check the phone physically at the shop to make sure the phone is working correctly.. some possible issues include signal strength, random reboots.
2. don't mind the camera lag issue. i find the LenovoCamera app a very good substitute to the stock camera when it comes to fast pic snapping.
3. take really good care of it (the warranty issue i mentioned earlier)

If I'm not mistaken one plus one only have software based OIS while iPhone 6 and note 4 phones are using hardware based OIS
The LenovoCamera app available on play store? I go give it a try first
*
nope, i dont think its in the PlayStore, have to install via apk download.. can search the XDA forum for the link to download smile.gif

addendum: the Lenovo camera app is fast, but i personally feel the pic quality to be average.. maybe it's just me being a person who can't really take pictures well

let say my phone hangs  if there any way to restart the phone? last time i'm using xiaomi redmi 1s, my solution was to take out the battery.. but this OPO battery cant take out right? any idea?
*
if it hangs, try pressing the power button for about 10 seconds until it vibrates.. should restart normally

reading the comments over the thread at OnePlus forum, I wonder if they really deserve the phones with questions like "how come my phone didnt get it?" , "is it available for indians OPO?" , "hot to get the OTA?" .. questions that have been asked over and over again everytime a new OTA emerges.. if it's genuine installation/update problem, i'd understand.. but the questions come across as whiny and petulant, you'd think they'd be better off with an iPhone ..

sorry, rant tongue.gif

Obefiend (blogger, co writer for amanz) tweeted this earlier: Link

must be really close to stock android.. personally i won't mind, but CM has lots of awesome tweaks.. hopefully there're some degree of customization on OxygenOS..

Anyone elses double tap to wake fucking suck now after the update? I have to tap like 15 times
*
my double tap to wake is working fine.. it's slightly slower. not stucky, but sticky.. i can live with that.. other than maxxaudio, i can't really see much improvement over 44S (already had swiftkey before)

guys i'm using 44s ver.
bought the phone 2 weeks ago.

around 1.30am the battery still left 60%
today 830am woke up left 28%
wifi OFF
GPS= high accuracy

is this normal?
*
correct me if im wrong, but that High Accuracy GPS is probably the culprit.. you dont need it unless you're using Waze of Google Maps for actual navigation.. that thing drains battery..
