I'll admit that the iOS today is not the smoothest of UI experience compared to the days of the old, but I think the lag or perceived lag is still very minimal. I've had my 6 Plus for a month now, and I'll admit that iOS 8 (am on 8.1.3 presently) is still not the most refined experience. I've had some apps crashing every now and then but overall it doesn't happen often enough for me to fuss about it. I think Apple will get it right eventually. Just a matter of time.
I totally agree with you on the battery life though. I'm still trying to adjust to not having to charge my phone every night! I've successfully converted a fellow colleague and my wife from their Galaxy Notes to 6 Plus just by talking about the battery life, ha ha (Hopefully that doesn't come back to haunt me!).
I think a lot depends on what you expect from your phone, and whether the user interface suits your needs. if you're already an Apple user, then I would say the 6 or 6 Plus is definitely a worthwhile upgrade from the previous generations. If you're on a different platform then it depends on what you currently like or dislike about your existing phone and its operating system. That said, the 6 Plus is hardly a bad phone!

serious? the performance so bad?
Not bad, just it's not up to my expectation. and i agree the lag is still very minimal. It's probably because of the OS problem. Heard that Apple already seeding 8.3 to developers and 8.4 is developing aiming to redefined all those new features added to make it smoother.

They're going with 4GB of RAM now on the newer Androids... That's equivalent to the amount of RAM on my laptop

they can use 8gb but if they dont optimised the usage, its still useless...
it's all depends on the OS you are using. Don't compare with samsung touchwiz, totally useless OS. Trying something like Android ASOP, then you will feel the different.
