Ouch! Similar case with me. Kena rejected claim bcoz found double sided tape inside. Complain to Apple kao Kao. Ask to escalate to senior technician. They will replace with refurbished unit but with more restrict quality control.
Then file official feedback to Apple.com with ur report number.
Seems like Apple qc really getting sucky due to high demand. Don't bother quarrel with local service provider. They are useless. Apple has final say.
That is why I prefer buy direct Apple online. Seeing more and more of such case where local reseller reject claim.

I'm leaning towards buying i6+ from Apple online store as I did for the i5 and i5s. The buying process is very familiar to me and I'm comfortable with the level of service Apple gives. Will wait for the red sale.

On the other hand, buying from Maxis (or other telcos) will allow 0% EPP without any hidden fees and at a subsidized price. This is also attractive to me. But my usage is quite low on the data plan (mostly using wifi) and calls. Hard to decide. smile.gif

Take the cheapest plan from the telco you preferred. However, most telco running out of stock since day 1 iPhone 6/6plus released at Malaysia. And your warranty claim (which I hope don't happen to us) need to go through them. And you have to wait a long time for them to solve it for you. But if price is no issue for you and you already have the current phone plan you're satisfied with, get from apple online is the best option.

My preference is Apple online store. But I do check on Maxis outlets whenever I happen to be at the malls. So, I may cave in and get a set there immediately if they have what I want. smile.gif

i would say go for online, and yes the red sales would be a good day to get it... i remember buying my lightning cable for RM25 only last year.  icon_rolleyes.gif

as for usage which telco are you with?

Hi silencer5089. How are you? smile.gif Want to ask your opinion in Accessories thread. Will post there later.

I was using Hotlink, then switched to Surfmore50 for about 2 years, then recently switched back to Hotlink. I found my usage pattern changed since I use wifi most of the time (surfing, chatting, etc). I didn't want to pay Maxis more $$ on principal. rolleyes.gif

Congrats! Which branch did you manage to get it from?

Edit: Err, never mind, so your post in maxis thread. Ha ha. Anyways someone mentioned got no 64GB yesterday so they probably replenished the stocks this morning. Congrats again.

Thanks! I'm in a euphoric mood today. Hehe. Didn't expect to hit the jackpot today. I was already prepared to buy from Apple online store during the red sales. But I fear Apple would raise prices due to the weak myr or just don't give discounts for iPhone6.

Coming from i5s, I'm not used to i6+ size yet. I'm afraid it'll fall off my hands. I wonder if i6 would be a better size for me. hmm.gif

My friend's iPhone 6 slipped from her hands twice. sweat.gif doh.gif Luckily fell on carpeted floor...
She was using 4S before this.

I'm usually careful with my iPhones (i5, i5s). Just that this time, the phone is huge and I start to worry. My hands not that big. Your friend's iPhone 6 also slipped through? blink.gif I better go check i6 size (as opposed to i6+).

Wongchoy, I usually use two hands; so not a problem. biggrin.gif

Hmm, my first time buying from maxis. Hope my set is ok. Miss buying from Apple online store. Their cs is the best. I don't trust resellers here in malaysia either.

Yeah, to make sure it doesn't slip off my hands I got a sturdy case - which makes the phone even bulkier and harder to sit comfortably when wearing jeans, ha ha...

Looks like I have to carry my handbag everywhere now.

Taking a look back at iPhone 4 and 5, they look so tiny now after using a 6+ for a couple of weeks. Even iPhone 6 feels small.

I absolutely agree. This was my thought as well. nod.gif
