Exemplary service from Apple  thumbup.gif

Glad it worked out for you bro. Nice new year present!

For me, bro mannquin has & really knows detail of the skill as 'customer right's'.

If for a normal average iPhone buyer like me who dun have the skill to 'push' a bit, might only stuck at item #1 only...

Kudos to bro mannquin.. I reckon it will definitely much easier if we are in the States for warranty claim purposes...

QUOTE(celdric @ Jan 10 2015, 06:40 PM)
Is it normal to have 52GB left from stock iPhone 6 plus 64GB version from telco?
How am I suppose to check the manufacturing date of my device through this website? http://sndeep.info/en
I already key in my imei but cannot find anything about manufacturing date. Also a new iPhone 6 Plus user reporting in!
Just for peace of mind, may I know what should I check and do for my new phone setup? Please help me fellow sifus.
*
Should be normal. About 12GB space for the iOS.
Thanks bro for such informative site, i agree with the phone's IMEI number, you didnt got you much info. But if you put in the serial no, you'll got a very detail info about your phone. Mine was manufactured in week 41. About 3 to 4 weeks before i bought during the boleh land launching day.
Previously, i use this apple website provided yrs ago by bros in this forum too to check the authenticity of my iphones/ipads etc

Thanks man for the feedback! So just right out of the box what should I check to ensure it is in perfect condition?  biggrin.gif
*
Sorry bro, after checking back with the usage of my iphone 6 64GB, i'm not sure whether that 12GB space should be rite or not. Tried google just now & found about this info ~ 55.7GB

Yea bro thanks, after I reset I get exactly 55.7gb of capacity.  rclxms.gif Btw where to see the manufacturing date of our device?  rclxub.gif
*
Errr.. Do you mean this? Week xx? It's in the link that you provided earlier. Instead of using the IMEI no, use the serial no to get this info

3 - I never did like the virtual home button on my screen so I'm pressing the home button all the way. If it wears out before my warranty period is over then good, I'll claim. But if it wears out after the warranty period, err, well, we'll figure out something. That said the home button on the 4 and 4S was problematic but I think the one on the 5 and 5S was better already. I maybe wrong though, I had the 4 for 2 years and the 5 for 1.5 years and both were still OK when I sold the phone, although, the 4 did feel a little dodgy towards the end.
*
I still have & daily use ip4,4S,5 & 5S. So far only my ip4 needs the home button replacement, infact i already replaced it 3 times. Battery too, replaced 3 times for that ip4. For other iphone versions that i have as stated above (ip2 & 3G i still keep it but didnt use anymore), so far no need for any corrective action...

Never fond to use the 'distractive' assistive touch. So besides ip4, the rest iphone version home button didnt have such problem. At least for me smile.gif

guys, it's my first iPhone and transferred from Android.
after Google-ing, other than Backuptrans, is there any other way to transfer Whatsapp messages from Android to iPhone? what about all SMS? is it the same way?
*
On the Whatsapp msg, you can always backup (feature inside the app itself) from your Android phone & sync it back from your new iPhone...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that's not possible unless you jailbreak?

Hmmm... I didnt know anything about Whatsapp in Android, but if the feature is available in iPhone, i'm a bit sure that it is universal. There is a WhatsApp topic in iPhone's thread here if you wanna check or just get the info faster with uncle google..

Tried that and it didn't work. Tried re-installing WhatsApp too, but to no avail.

Basically what happens is that if I unlock the lockscreen and tap a notification, it goes into the app, then I have to wait about 1s for the network, and only then do the messages load.
*
Yup around or less than 1 sec. Normal for me

You don't see Apple comparing their products with the competition during launches. For that matter, I don't think I see Samsung doing it either.
*
Maybe they wanna follow the old skool way..
I watched young Steve Job making fun & undermined of IBM computer during the launching of 1 of the earliers Mac. IBM was the no 1 is states/world at that time..

Wow, so in short, anything with metal will almost certainly affect the WiFi signals on our iPhones then! ohmy.gif

Thankfully my Spigen Ultra Hybrid casing has a plastic back with rubbery sides for better grip, and which also shouldn't knock out the WiFi signals unlike the metallic ones! rclxms.gif
*
Yup, even Element Case metal casing have very minor effect on this.
The only time i noticed about this was when i cant detect a low signal wifi in a building with my previous EC Sector 5(ip5 at that time), where as the other ip5 with non-metal bumper was able to detect it.

U know who la from beginning to end how many pages still on battery. whistling.gif

As for me, no regrets updating to 813. Didn't notice battery drop. Now 6+ smooth as it originally should be, especially safari thumbup.gif
*
Hehehe. Anyway, it's an open forum. And if i'm still 'kaki' battery, i'll be doing the same thing too...
Had spent quite a bunch of money with 'some' battery expectation smartphone...

But it's too subjective, finally i didnt care that much anymore. So i always plug in my iphone to charge before i sleep to ensure that every morning when i wake up, i had 100% of battery. Been doing this since ip5 time until now. Didnt notice any battery deterioration due to daily 'so called' overcharge.

New feature in iOS. Basically it's call "Suggested App". You will find this in the settings. This new feature uses your current location to determine if there's a nearby venue or business who has an iOS app in the App Store. If it determines an app is likely relevant based on your current location, it will discreetly recommend the app to you on your lock screen.

Definitely kills off your battery performance whistling.gif
