Just got back my replacement 'new unit' from machines. Model number shows its hong kong/Macau set.
Using sndeepinfo page shows its valid Apple set with active warranty up to nov 2015.

Does that mean this is new or refurbished unit?
*
honestly, even if its a refurbished set. Its barely few months since apple iphone6 is out. How refurbished/old can the set be. lols

Okay, sucky experience.

Apple contacted me and told me that there's an issue again. On my request, my order's been cancelled. In the online store however, the order is still listed as "Preparing for shipment". Best part is that since I used a debit card to make the purchase, my funds are still in hold by the bank. Apple says they've already reverted payment but it usually takes the banks 7-10 working days to refund the payment, whereas my bank is telling me that unless Apple's appointed bank voids the transaction, the money will stay in hold for a month.
*
All cancellation have to wait especially with debit card. No matter with apple or any other purchase, it will never be so fast. two weeks to one month at least.

I dont hve receipt, but only service sticker for validation

As long warranty valid, you cn send to any authorised Apple reseller
*
If yours is a telco set. U must claim your warranty at the telco. And the warranty i heard is tag to the line u sign up contract for. So trading is not so advisable

This unit is a telco set and i think u will had a hard time claiming your warranty as i checked with celcom staff that day, they mentioned to me that the phone is tag under ur name. other people taking the phone for warranty claim will face difficulties

no laa... i think this kind of procedure only applied long time ago... it is not necessary to claim warranty from people that tagged to the registered plan. nowadays its easier to claim the warranty, as long as u bring the service card.

but from my experience with maxis and celcom, they didn't ask me for the service card. because they can check all the details through their system (using phone serial number of course).
*
However, in the event that lets say phone cannot be on etc, you have to show the receipt etc else they cant even check your serial number etc i guess

Again, the whole fiasco could have been avoided if Apple had started their basic configuration at 32GB

This is actually their marketing strategy i guess.

Agreed. Personally, I don't know of a single person who bought a 16GB unit. I get the same response everywhere - "Mad ah you, 16GB where got enough?!"
*
Some people dont download alot of games/songs/videos/pictures.

So i guess 16gb is perfectly fine for those people, or for those who transfer their pictures regularly. Its basically more than enough.

Given the increasing trend of iOS update size, it's fair to assume that even users with relatively minimal storage needs will encounter issues with insufficient space by the time they've moved up to iOS 9. I have a strong feeling the 6/6+ will be the last batch of iPhones to stock 16GB, with the next refresh starting at 64GB. Correct me if I'm wrong, but sales of the current batch have already indicated a customer preference for more than 16GB.
I really suggest you wait.
*
If you are talking about whats in the future, i guess its just some guessing which nobody can confirm or know. Whether iOS 9 will need more space is still unknown as we have no idea whats up apple sleeve and what are they trying to do. Who knows it will be surprisingly shocking that iOS might required lesser space etc. Its all a mystery.
Hahaha.. So whether 6/6+ will be the last batch for 16gb or not, its too early to tell. And your sales of current batch, where did u get the figures from? Malaysia only? doesnt mean the rest of the world like the western country they all prefer 64gb onwards. Who knows they are the people who prefer 16gb etc. haha...

With screen protectors and casings or extended warranty by senQ.
I'm not sure if this only happens in Seremban branch will find some time to file a complaint on its FB.
*
I tink the extended warranty part appears in those senQ outlets i've been to. Never see them wrote about casing or protectors. But somehow, the extended warranty might come in handy if you are those who dont change phone yearly. haha

I've already asked for that yesterday. Will be pissed off if i got a refurbished set
*
actually u sld check on the spot for defects like dents cracks scratches etc when purchasing the phone. Especially from telco. After you take the phone and leave after that, its almost impossible for them to give you a new set anymore, even there is an exchange, it will be a refurbished set for sure.
