@nysone,
You can continue using your Supplementary Line - if that plan is sufficient for you? How much is your phone bill currently?

My call charges for last month were RM12.00 and RM98 for internet and monthly commitment. What do you think of the DG Smartplan 78 or 108? seems quite worth it too since it includes minutes.

I'm currently using a Supplementary Line from Maxis and I'm going to cut off once I purchase the new Iphone. I'm thinking of subscribing to the Maxis Surfmore 75 plan but I'm not sure if that's the best plan in the market right now. I don't mind changing telcos.
*
If you want a little bit of bundled voice call and SMS, you may check out Celcom First 88, this plan is bundled with 5gb data, 60 minutes of voice calls (to all network) and 60 SMS (to all network).

If you ask me, Surfmore 75 is the best plan from Maxis. Get 5gb data for RM75, which is the cheapest data plan compared to all Telcos. And if exceed the 5gb quota, still can surf without additional data purchase, though the speed is very very slow

This unit  is a telco set and i think u will had a hard time claiming your warranty as i checked with celcom staff that day, they mentioned to me that the phone is tag under ur name. other people taking the phone for warranty claim will face difficulties
*
You can claim from any Authorissed Apple Service Centres near you if you dont want to send back to the Telco. nod.gif

For Maxis plans, I still prefer the One Plan as calls to any number are free and unlimited. thumbup.gif

Same here. On SM50 but usually on the last week before my billing I would get the warning message of hitting 80% of my quota. So one week of managing my data usage before next billing cycle, haha. SM75 would be a bit overkill, although you could argue it's only RM25 extra for 3GB more. If the maxis OnePlan at RM128 had 3GB of data then I'd go for that but they want 158 for 3GB. Greedy fellas....

LTE consumes more data because its download speeds are much faster than 3G and being so we tend to 'use' more. laugh.gif Battery usage on LTE network is lower though.

Saw this on Reddit this morning. Although I think it's common sense that a 16GB device won't have 16GB of usable space, it's quite clear that such a small amount of space is pointless given the size of updates/apps these days. The reason this issue is more pronounced on Apple products is because they don't offer expandable storage.

Again, the whole fiasco could have been avoided if Apple had started their basic configuration at 32GB

Agreed. Personally, I don't know of a single person who bought a 16GB unit. I get the same response everywhere - "Mad ah you, 16GB where got enough?!"

Some people dont download alot of games/songs/videos/pictures.

So i guess 16gb is perfectly fine for those people, or for those who transfer their pictures regularly. Its basically more than enough.

Ha ha, I might be getting a 16GB soon if they don't restock the 64GB ones soon.

Given the increasing trend of iOS update size, it's fair to assume that even users with relatively minimal storage needs will encounter issues with insufficient space by the time they've moved up to iOS 9. I have a strong feeling the 6/6+ will be the last batch of iPhones to stock 16GB, with the next refresh starting at 64GB. Correct me if I'm wrong, but sales of the current batch have already indicated a customer preference for more than 16GB.

I know a few, excluding the ones in the owners list.

Most of them use cloud storage. Took photo, auto upload to cloud, then delete from camera roll.

Music, movies, etc. all use cloud storage.

So internet is very important.

That cloud storage bit is very true. In the comments of the article posted, one reader points out that Apple's idea of a 16GB unit is supplemented by their cloud storage, pushing users to invest in paid iCloud plans. Personally, I don't understand why people don't just use multiple cloud storage solutions and split their data among them, eg. iCloud for apps, Dropbox for pictures, Box for documents etc.
