I think most AEON Stores (aka Jaya Jusco for oldies) will support Apple Pay. Because every major AEON store now promoting the new contactless VISA Wave system. If there's a NFC payment system, Apple Pay can make use of it.

visa waves system is diff.

even amex not preferable in malaysia. not all merchant got.

but then, amex were the best. if you got many money until feel lazy to draw money, then charge card is good for you.

not many malaysia resident able to pay big amount unless minimum payment with consistency.

The contactless payment system is just a card reader with NFC built-in. I bet you can use a US VISA card to pay via Apple Pay at AEON here now. Like in the US also, ANY card reader that supports NFC supports Apple Pay. It's only the bank that needs to implement support. The merchant don't need to do anything to support Apple Pay if they support NFC/contactless payments.

Apple Pay also don't need Bank Negara authorisation. This is because Apple Pay only replaces the physical card with the virtual one in your iPhone. To do that though, the banks need to upgrade their backend systems to support the tech that empowers Apple Pay like tokenisation.

if available in malaysia, still not many people use it compared to normal cc.

most of the tag line, "amex for rich people"

for me, if you able to pay then its totally urs.

mostly people able to pay minimum payment for the big amount with consistency.

amex must pay one lump sum.

All the best, although my battery dies quite fast when I play really resource-consuming games like Asphalt 8 and Asphalt Overdrive (must be connected to Internet to play) for a long period of time. blink.gif

Otherwise the battery life is still quite reasonable on iOS 8.1.3, thus far! thumbup.gif

Well, let's hope that Apple Pay gets introduced here soon. At least we can have another method to pay for stuff we purchase, i.e. using our iPhones, in addition to the "standard" way of handing over the credit card! icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyone stayed up to watch the live updates of the "Spring Forward" event in San Francisco, this morning? I wanted to catch it live at 0100 hrs but I fell asleep at 0030 hrs as I was too tired, groan! sad.gif

But looks like we have two new things to watch out for, here in Malaysia - the long-awaited Apple Watch and the unbelievably thin 2015 MacBook! rclxms.gif

Not me, as I'm already having an iPhone 6 as well as "normal" wristwatch, which is more than sufficient for my needs. Although I'll still play around with the Apple Watch when demo sets appear in the nearby Resellers! laugh.gif
