QUOTE(attw @ Jan 11 2015, 05:16 PM) Just to give you an idea, I took possession of my 6 Plus yesterday at about 86% battery (at about 10.45am), and I was fiddling with it the whole day, installing this and that. My battery is at 22% now. I've not charged the phone. Yet. That's a quite impressive battery life. Looks like better than mine a lot. I wonder whether my unit is defective unit or not. Sigh. 41% now since unplugged around 10am+ this morning with 4 hours 31 minutes usage and standby 7 hours 20minutes.

QUOTE(Pacman88 @ Jan 11 2015, 06:08 PM) Hi check your location setting switch it off if you are not using it.. It will make a lot of difference. Mind battery usage can up to 9 to 10 hours normal used less gaming. LTE all the way switch on. my location was on mainly while using the apps. my porting out request not yet done so I was using wifi all the time. maybe I should monitor the battery life further? I seriously don't hope this is a defective unit.

QUOTE(attw @ Jan 11 2015, 06:24 PM) Ya, monitor it a little longer or back it up and then do a reset... Battery life is kinda subjective so it depends... I actually did a reset before I start to use it. Ya it's subjective but at least 6 Plus can achieve a min of 9 hours usage I assume? Kinda disappointed already, this is the most expensive phone I bought so far and first iOS device actually.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 11 2015, 09:00 PM) Its not even your first charge yet. Relax Use it up to low battery and give it a full charge to 100%. Then you monitor from there. I had not had a defective battery in all my IPhone 6 and 6 Plusses before. You have to condition the battery first to achieve good battery life. I already fully charged it yesterday night and unplugged this morning 10am+. This is my current battery stat. Wonder will they accidentally put 6 battery in my 6 plus or not lol. Will it help if we perform few times of fully charge and discharge cycle? So to get the normal battery performance that 6 plus should have? I actually pick 6 plus over 6 due to battery life, I hope it will not turn me down. :hmm Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 11 2015, 09:52 PM) Relax Relax. I do notice that you have no network in you area. Correct me if im wrong. If your area is not under network coverage, battery may drain too. I also noticed that battery drain is a bit over the edge on your phone. I recommend you perform a hard reset on your phone. Do not restore first, and try if battery drain still occurs overnight. Do backup your phone first though. Trying to relax haha. I was actually porting out from maxis to Celcom. Still waiting Celcom to get it fix. But I did a hard reset yesterday a few hours later after I got my phone. Still need to do it again? Btw how to "condition" the battery? This post has been edited by celdric: Jan 11 2015, 10:52 PM

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 11 2015, 11:46 PM) Your phone keeps searching for network and hence the battery drain. Try again when you have network. Got network today, will see how it goes. Even sim card not yet register show no service it still will keep searching for network? Sorry I am coming from android so still not familiar with apple product, is the usage time = on screen time when we touch the screen and using it? Or usage time was counted as well when the screen lock? QUOTE(Pyjamas999 @ Jan 12 2015, 03:02 AM) Bro how about this. Try going on airplane mode and see how your battery fares? The other forumers do have a point when they say your phone drains battery trying to locate a signal . And if u really wanna take care of your battery I would suggest not letting it discharge past 20% very frequently. Shortens the lifespan haha yes I know it's nitpicking but owh well Airplane mode the whole day? I just got it for one day for now I just hope that thr battery work up to my expectations then I will take care of it. Haha This post has been edited by celdric: Jan 12 2015, 07:26 AM

QUOTE(attw @ Jan 12 2015, 11:01 AM) Apple's usage time is not equivalent to Android's Screen On Time, because even if your screen is not on (i.e. phone calls, listening to music/podcasts. etc) it is still counted as usage time. Alright thanks. Unplugged 7am this morning, connect with WiFi at around 9am. Now 99% with usage time 59 minutes, standby time 4hours 16mins. I actually don't even do anything, just browse some insta and paranoid checking battery usage on screen ~.~ This post has been edited by celdric: Jan 12 2015, 11:06 AM

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 12 2015, 11:08 AM) I think you should start enjoying your phone and stop monitoring on the battery level. QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Jan 12 2015, 11:10 AM) defak mang i would be very happy already. I kept on looking at my battery usage all the time on my Android devices, because.. on standby it still drains like hell. huuuarrghhhh Haha I wanted to enjoy it haven't even sync my contact over to the new phone as I scare anything goes wrong need send for warranty claim or hard reset everything have to do over again. Just want the battery life work up to the expectations of what fellow forumers have with their 6 plus. I understand the issue of android device as I also coming from android. My android was like sucking electricity from wall plug 24/7. lol

QUOTE(attw @ Jan 13 2015, 07:41 PM) This is from my first full cycle charge on Sunday night since taking the phone on Saturday. To clarify, I did plug it to sync and backup last night for about 10 minutes or so. I will never look at smartphone battery life the same way again. [attachmentid=4299800] This battery life is way good compared to my 6 Plus.

QUOTE(attw @ Jan 14 2015, 08:15 AM) If I'm not mistaken, you play games on yours? I hardly play any games so maybe there is a difference there. Anyway, yesterday after charging to 100% at about 11.30pm, I unplug and left it on standby with WiFi on. It's 8.14am now and the battery still shows 100%. I hardly play any game yesterday, but the usage was 8hours 40mins+ only. Sigh. Yes it can last me a whole day without any charge. But then I demand for more lol. I barely stream any youtube video as well.

QUOTE(attw @ Jan 14 2015, 08:30 AM) Ha ha, looks like Apple has raised the bar after all the reviews for the 6 Plus. We'll need to manage our expectations now I'm gonna let my battery do a few more cycles before I come to a conclusion. Still too early to tell yea perhaps it is. before I get my phone been lurking around this thread and see a lot impressive battery life reported. Maybe that's why my expectation goes up lol. I done three times of fully discharge and charge cycle, how is your cycle going to conduct? I am planning to charge at about 20% today for "battery protection" mode. May I know the usage time of your 6 plus dropping from 100% to 99%? This post has been edited by celdric: Jan 14 2015, 09:48 AM

QUOTE(THTgadgets.com @ Jan 14 2015, 10:27 AM) My battery has gone into 6 hours at a 73% battery life balance. Although it's not wholly accurate as my car (Nissan Teana) has an iPhone auxiliary system that charges the phone when plugged in to play music. Still, even when I use my phone for Internet access, playing music, playing games, and taking photos, such a battery life duration is not too bad! may I know how long you playing Asphalt 8 within the 6 hours usage time?

QUOTE(THTgadgets.com @ Jan 14 2015, 05:25 PM) The battery life of my iPhone 6 has dropped to 2%, while playing Football Manager in the office and as such, I decided to get it charged. And up to the 2% mark, the iPhone lasted 10 hours and 20 minutes, with only one "halfway" charge using the Nissan Teana's auxiliary cable! Not bad, that's all I can say! This is very excellent considering yours is 6 but not 6 plus. Can say already out perform my battery life on the 6 plus. ==. Any tweaks you did?
